As you can imagine, laundry is a never-ending chore around here with five active kids. all® Small & Mighty® laundry detergent is one of my preferred brands, and I love the convenience the new 96-load bottle. Of course it doesn’t last anywhere close to six months around here, but I appreciate the ease of dispensing it and its stain-fighting capabilities!
Two Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a coupon for a free bottle of all® Small & Mighty® 3x Concentrate (up to $6.50)! These would be great to hold onto until the next BOGO sale at CVS so that you can get TWO free bottles of detergent!
To enter, leave me a comment with your best money-saving laundry tip.
Here’s a little tip from me to you — I can generally find a better price on the smaller bottles of All Small & Mighty, so I save my larger 96-load bottle and refill it with them!

I wash my clothes in cold water and I measure my detergent according to the load I’m washing. I buy my detergent when on sale and try to stack a manufacture coupon with a store coupon when possible.

My laundry tip would be…. i wash all my laundry in cold water and then hang them outside to dry or on a drying rack. This has cut my energy bill way down.

We save money by washing in cold water and only doing full loads. We also shop sales. KMart doubles really helped us stock up!

My favorite way to save money while doing laundry is to make sure that I do a full load. That way I’m not running more loads than necessary.

I love to use ALL detergent. My kids and hubby have sensitive skin and the free and clear doesn’t bother them

I have five children and have learned how much I love and trust Tide with bleach. It really is good and getting out stains. However, we know how expensive it is and so what I do is buy my Tide and also purchase detergents that are on sale and that I have coupon matches for. For my less soiled clothes I use what ever I have bought on sale and then for the really bad loads I use Tide with bleach. It helps me save money because I am not having to turn around and buy tide all the time. I also cut my dryer sheets in half and have found that on some loads I am able to use the half sheet twice which saves me even more money.

Clean out the exhuast hose from the dryer exiting the house. Less lint in there means more efficient drying and less Gas/electricity used.
Julie
I always do a full load and washer in the coldest temp possible.
Ashley
hehe I got this one! I don’t let my hubby touch the laundry he is a clean freak and uses way to much soap. It saves me tons of money

I wash my clothes in cold water to save money on energy costs. Tide makes great cold water detergent!

I bought the cheep spring curtain rods that fit in my doorways. I use hangers for my clothes and dry them inside in the winter.

If you wash at the laundromat always make sure you have detergent and fabric sheets and such before you get there. We went this past Sunday 12:00 am because a local laundromat has a half off after midnight special. We didn’t save as much as we would have liked with one reason being we were lower on detergent than we realized.

I reuse dryer sheets and only wash in hot water when necessary1

I wash in cold water so it saves money on electricity. I have also made my own soap before.

I almost always wash full loads and use vinegar in place of softener. I was using the Wal-Mart brand of detergent until I realized load for load that All Small & Mighty is the same cost, and I can pretty regularly find coupons for All, making it cheaper.

Never pay full price for detergent. Wash in cold. And hang what I can on the clothesline.
