24-Hour Giveaway: Two Bottles of All Small & Mighty

September 16, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

ALL-96oz-Stainlifter

As you can imagine, laundry is a never-ending chore around here with five active kids. all® Small & Mighty® laundry detergent is one of my preferred brands, and I love the convenience the new 96-load bottle. Of course it doesn’t last anywhere close to six months around here, but I appreciate the ease of dispensing it and its stain-fighting capabilities!

Two Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a coupon for a free bottle of all® Small & Mighty® 3x Concentrate (up to $6.50)! These would be great to hold onto until the next BOGO sale at CVS so that you can get TWO free bottles of detergent!

To enter, leave me a comment with your best money-saving laundry tip.

Here’s a little tip from me to you — I can generally find a better price on the smaller bottles of All Small & Mighty, so I save my larger 96-load bottle and refill it with them!

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. What’s your best money-saving laundry tip? How do you make your detergent last longer or find deals on your favorite detergent for less?

2. Add Deal Seeking Mom to your blogroll or add my badge to your sidebar. Make sure to come back and leave the link to your site in a separate comment!

3. Join the new Deal Seeking Mom Forums to chat about your great finds, special coupon codes, and chances to win exclusive giveaways. Leave a separate comment letting me know you’ve joined or that you’re already a registered user!

Prize:
(2) Coupon for a FREE bottle of all® Small & Mighty® 3x concentrate (up to $6.50)

This giveaway ends at noon EST on Thursday, 9/17. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email on and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Good luck!

I always try to find a sale on detergent and pair the sale up with a coupon and also look for rebates.

I hardly ever purchase my detergent from the mega-grocery store. I always buy in on sale at Walgreens or CVS and my money goes farther, for sure!

The best way we save money when doing laundry is by line drying our clothes.

Everyone else pretty much said it all: Wash in cold water, Buy ONLY when it’s on sale WITH coupons, wash only when it’s full load, skip the fabric softener, cutting dryer sheets (Sometimes), and pretreating before wash.

My best tip to save money is make your own stain remover. USE: equal parts Palmolive Dish Soap (original), ammonia and water, this works great

We use vinegar in place of fabric softener during the final rinse. Leaves clothes soft and removes any detergent residue that might be remaining.

I stock up for detergent when I get a great deal with coupons, or I buy it at Costco with my Christmas giftcard from my MIL. Thanks

I started using about 1/2 of the suggested amount of laundry detergent last February and have not noticed a difference. I still use the recommended amount if the load is heavily soiled, like my husband’s work clothes.

I cut my fabric softener sheets into thirds. It still works well and a box lasts me forever.

I use vinegar in the final rinse cycle instead of fabric softener. Its much cheaper and does the same job. Plus it keeps the washer smelling fresh!
Thanks for the chance to win!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
