As you can imagine, laundry is a never-ending chore around here with five active kids. all® Small & Mighty® laundry detergent is one of my preferred brands, and I love the convenience the new 96-load bottle. Of course it doesn’t last anywhere close to six months around here, but I appreciate the ease of dispensing it and its stain-fighting capabilities!
Two Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a coupon for a free bottle of all® Small & Mighty® 3x Concentrate (up to $6.50)! These would be great to hold onto until the next BOGO sale at CVS so that you can get TWO free bottles of detergent!
To enter, leave me a comment with your best money-saving laundry tip.
Here’s a little tip from me to you — I can generally find a better price on the smaller bottles of All Small & Mighty, so I save my larger 96-load bottle and refill it with them!

I cut my dryer sheets in half and I also use just a fraction of the recommended detergent. It helps the detergent that I can cheaply with sales and coupons to really last! I’m still using the bottle of baby detergent I got at my baby shower and my son is 17 months old! I’ve not noticed a difference in cleanliness at all.

Use Oxiclean with any detergent. I get the powder since it last much longer especially with a HE machine. I use All free and clean due to having babies in the house. Oxiclean does have a “free” version and it doesn’t seem to irrate anyone in my house. Rarelly am I stunned with results, but since adding this stuff it’s made a HUGE noticable difference.

Notice the “fill line” on your detergent cap – I am guilty of using more detergent than necessary – also helps to use a black sharpie marker to mark the line (much easier to see when you are in a hurry)…

My “daily indulgence” is having wonderful-smelling laundry. Since the scent of the softener overrides the detergent anyway, I use a generic unscented detergent and Snuggle Blue fabric softener. Clothes are clean and smell awesome! I also do not use the fabric sheets unless I can find Snuggle Blue on sale and then I cut them in half to make them last longer.
Thanks for the chance to win!

For issues with Burnt Stuff on Iron: Rub iron with aluminum foil to remove burnt on starch, etc.
For a big money saver on dryer sheets: I have been using an old dish towel as a fabric softener sheet. I pour a couple of capfuls of Downey on it and throw it in the dryer. It has taken over a year to go thru a bottle of (small) Downey fabric softener. I add more Downey about every 15 loads or just when I notice a little static. It helps to use a towel that is distinct from the other laundry.
