Yeah, yeah, yeah . . . I was a little skeptical too, but Walmart provided me with a $50 gift card to check it out for myself, and I’m happy to report that it’s absolutely true. I got all of the items pictured below for just $53!

Yeah, so I exceeded my budget just a tad, but my oldest boys are thrilled at the additions to their back-to-school wardrobe! We don’t have hand-me-downs since they’ve worn the same size for as long as I can remember (they’re 12 months apart), so I’m thrilled at how these savings have stretched our clothing budget.

    I just subscribed via e-mail. I am a mother of twin boys and my daycare/preschool prices have skyrocketed this year so I am now looking at ways to save money!!

    Schools that have uniforms. Once you buy the uniform it just takes a little upkeep of socks underwear ,shoes and backpack for boys at least.

    Buy extra school supplies at the beginning of the school year while they are on sale. They won’t be so cheap when you have to restock midway through the year.

    I find great deals for next season and buy them while they are on clearance for current season. Jackets/shorts/long sleeve shirts. I have been able to stretch my money far enough to pick up an extra jacket for those in need, which is a blessing in itself!!

    We have a tax free weekend here – that saves you a bunch plus the stores run great sales to get people into the stores! I also buy enough to last the entire school year!

    Favorite back to school tip is just to email your teachers find out what youre going to do and start it during the summer

    My favorite tip is to subscribe to the newsletters of sites that I want to purchase from so that I can get notices of sales and discounts and to read blogs such as these.

    i always start looking for sales and clearances right after school lets out all through the summer i look and by the time schools back in im all set and saved a pretty penny :)
