Walmart wants to help you stretch your back-to-school clothing budget. With basics priced at just $10 or less, you can dress your student for an entire week for under $50!
Yeah, yeah, yeah . . . I was a little skeptical too, but Walmart provided me with a $50 gift card to check it out for myself, and I’m happy to report that it’s absolutely true. I got all of the items pictured below for just $53!

Yeah, so I exceeded my budget just a tad, but my oldest boys are thrilled at the additions to their back-to-school wardrobe! We don’t have hand-me-downs since they’ve worn the same size for as long as I can remember (they’re 12 months apart), so I’m thrilled at how these savings have stretched our clothing budget.

I shop at Walmart for clothes and essentials for the kids and I have never found their items to be too pricey – even when our budget is tight!
Elena
Thanks to Cvs I got most of the school supplies I needed free!!!

I have cut back on school shopping tremendously this year by just not shopping. The weather is just so warm and our summer clothes were just fine so I have postponed shopping until the weather cools. I’m sure our long pants will be too short after the summer growth spurts but I’m just going to wait until we need them. Lucky for us all our shoes still fit!
Stephanie
i stock up on EVERYTHING during back to school sales. Supplies and snacks are super cheap, so stocking up for all year is much less expensive than buying as we go. I buy clothing basics (shorts, flip flops and plain tees) one size bigger than my kids need whenever I find them on summer clearance.

What a great giveaway! I have many tips for back to school so here are just a few. Save any school supplies from the prior year to reuse. Many times my children barely use the pink erasers or markers. I always shop the deals and load up! I also make sure to do everything the night before to eliminate chaos in the morning. We save lots of $$ packing lunches instead of paying for over priced school lunches.

To save this year I started shopping early. I found lots of great things on clearance. I have also been stocking up on lunch snacks so I’m prepared for the school year.

I always buy ahead. I watch for school clothes, shoes and supplies all year and buy when they are on sale. I can avoid the crowds at August back-to-school sales.

Love to get some great BTS deals!

I have tried to do all my back-to-school clothes shopping at yard sales. I also tried to get most of my school supplies at CVS (free after ECB’s) and Staples with their penny items.
Connie Corey
Plan ahead – I start planning for the return to school when school gets out! Look at what can be reused, and make a list of what you need. Then I keep an eye out for those items all summer long.

Would love to win. Have a little one going to pre-school for the first time and would LOVE to get him a few new things. Thanks!

My favorite back to school shopping tip is going to Walmart, of course. They had notebooks for 15 cents. You can’t beat that.

My favorite tip for saving money started out of necessity – my husband and I are teachers and our back to school budget is slim because we don’t get paid in the summer. We started buying back to school supplies in July, almost as soon as school finished…whatever the penny or nickel sales were for the week, we stocked up on. By the time school starts each fall, we have a nice stash for our classrooms and this year, with our son starting preschool, we also have a nice backstock of school supplies of all kinds for whatever he may need in his classroom, or to help with his teacher’s wish list requests throughout the year.

This would be awesome to win! Thanks for the opportunity!

I buy school clothes that can mix and match. This way there is always a “new look” to the outfits. Thanks for this offer.
