Raise your hand if you love The Home Depot!
Thought so – I mean, what’s not to love? I get inspired to do some sort of household project just walking through their doors.
Here’s another bit of inspiration on a more serious note.
Through Feb. 28, The Home Depot is offering a commemorative “Dream” gift card celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. When consumers purchase the collector’s edition “Dream” gift card, The Home Depot will donate five percent of all sales to the Center for Civil and Human Rights, up to $1 million dollars. The donation will assist in the building of a permanent exhibition home for his personal writings and papers.
The collection of original documents by Dr. King includes more than 10,000 items, among them 7,000 handwritten notes spanning from 1946 to 1968. They include drafts of his “I Have a Dream” speech, his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” other theological writings and his Nobel Peace Prize addresses. The King Papers will be part of the exhibition offering of The Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Dream cards can be purchased at any store, or online at homedepot.com/dream.
Talk about amazing and inspiring, huh?
I have one of these commemorative gift cards loaded with $50 to spend at The Home Depot to give away to one Deal Seeking Mom reader!

I’m inspired by a gentleman I met awhile ago. He has MS and was in such horrible pain that he tried to take his life. He did horrible things to himself so that he could die but for some reason, it wasn’t his time. He survived and he finally realized that there must be a greater purpose for him to stay on this earth. Long story short, he cured himself from the pain and no longer needs his cane. He found his purpose and is sharing it to help others who suffer with terrible pain.

I get inspired by my husband: he has such a great heart for homeless people and “down and out” that he goes out of his way on a daily basis to just be their friend and help them. We have several home improvement projects that he’s been dying to do, and I know he would love to start one! Thanks!

I’m inspired by so many things, lately it’s my kids. They are so darn cute…i may be a little baised, but they have hit that age where they try to be so helpful and my 2yr old asks after she ‘helps’, is that much better? It inspires me to be a better person.
