Raise your hand if you love The Home Depot!
Thought so – I mean, what’s not to love? I get inspired to do some sort of household project just walking through their doors.
Here’s another bit of inspiration on a more serious note.
Through Feb. 28, The Home Depot is offering a commemorative “Dream” gift card celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. When consumers purchase the collector’s edition “Dream” gift card, The Home Depot will donate five percent of all sales to the Center for Civil and Human Rights, up to $1 million dollars. The donation will assist in the building of a permanent exhibition home for his personal writings and papers.
The collection of original documents by Dr. King includes more than 10,000 items, among them 7,000 handwritten notes spanning from 1946 to 1968. They include drafts of his “I Have a Dream” speech, his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” other theological writings and his Nobel Peace Prize addresses. The King Papers will be part of the exhibition offering of The Center for Civil and Human Rights. The Dream cards can be purchased at any store, or online at homedepot.com/dream.
Talk about amazing and inspiring, huh?

I am inspired by my husband who works two jobs to support us and cleans up the children’s puke without a single complaint and without me asking him to do it.

I am continually inspired by my daughter. She can light up a room with her sweet smile and I just love seeing the world through her eyes. Watching her, watching our new president take his oath of office I felt such wonder. Two people that can someday make a difference. Mr. President, and quite possibly, someday, our little gal.

What a great way for Home Depot to give back! With the way the economy has been lately, I’m sure many charities are not being supported as much as in past years.

My husband and son inspire me. I work hard and try harder at things because it’s all for them. They are both my life and I truely wouldn’t be anything without them. They support me, love me, and make me feel better when I am feeling down. My son turns 3 on Feb. 9th and this would be a great win to where I can change his room from a nursery tone room to a big boy room. He loves Spongebob Squarepants so that is the decor his big boy room will be.

As of right now, The Obama family is inspiring to me. President Obama is calm, collected and on a race to get our country back on track less than one week in office, Michelle is a wonderful example of a woman of color who is intelligent, beautiful and understands her importance in her family, and Sasha and Malia are just content being little girls, which is who they need to be at their age.
