CVS: FREE Honey Nut Cheerios Cups, Photo Books Limit + Kotex Deal

July 13, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 30 Comments

Free Honey Nut CheeriosI had a fantastic trip to CVS yesterday!

I managed to get everything I wanted, except for the scissors and rulers. However, I did get a rain check for those, so I’ll go back later this week after they get their truck to pick them up.

I wanted to update you on some other new finds to take advantage of this week!

:: FREE Honey Nut Cheerios Cups

CVS carries the small individual Honey Nut Cheerios Cups for just $1 right now. Use this $1 off any Honey Nut Cheerios printable (IE) or printable (FF) to get them for free! These would be great for traveling.

Honey Nut Cheerios Cups, $1
$1/1 Honey Nut Cheerios printable (IE) or printable (FF)
FREE after coupon!
(Thanks, Coupon Clippin’ Mama!)

:: Photo Books Limit

As I hoped and suspected, the photo books free after Extra Care Bucks deal is actually a limit of 5! These would make a fantastic Christmas gift – start thinking ahead to stretch your Christmas budget.

Nicole shares some great tips on how to make your photo book purchase go more smoothly.

:: Improved Kotex Deal

Kotex products are actually 2/$6 here in Central Ohio. I found some of the Reinventing Beauty inserts from the latest magazine with Kate Winslet on the cover, and they have $1.50/1 Kotex product manufacturer coupons in them. So I was able to get two Kotex products for $1 after coupons and ECBs!

Kotex Products, 2/$6 or 2/$7 (depending on region)
Get $2 ECBs wyb 2 (limit 3)

$1.50/1 Kotex Product (Reinventing Beauty insert)
$1/1 Kotex printable
$1/1 Kotex Lightdays Pantiliners, exp. 8-8-09 (SS 6/14/09)
$1/1 Kotex Pads, exp. 8-8-09 (SS 6/14/09)
$1/1 Kotex Security Tampons, exp. 8-8-09 (SS 6/14/09)
As low as $0.50 ea. after coupons and ECBs!

Check out the rest of the CVS Weekly Deals – there’s still time to get in on the free after ECBs school supplies!

Did CVS let you use more than one for the Cheerio’s?

How do you know that the limit is 5? Did you call cvs customer service and confirm? Also if you do more than 1 book and the cashier says the limit is only one then what do you do then. I am nervous to try more than 1.

Gina: After you buy something that offers ECB’s, at the bottom of your receipt it will tell you if the “Offer Limit is Reached” or if you are able to buy more to fulfill the ECB deal.
Most likely, the cashiers don’t pay attention to what the limit is on most things.

I am curious—where do you find the reinventing beauty magazines? I have looked in the store and can’t seem to find them anywhere.

Andrea- every store has them in different places. Some in the magazine aisle, some at the register, some in stands as you enter the store… check these places and then you can always ask a manager where they are or if they carry them. (my experience is the associates don’t even know what you are talking about when you ask them)

My daughter and I went to CVS today—-all the specials for school supplies were gone. We went to the desk to ask for a rain check and were told that there would be no rainchecks because it is only a three day sale. Second day of the sale and everything was gone!! I guess you have to be quick around here—I don’t shop on Sundays so I’m out of luck…..

I was told the same, No Rainchecks and I asked if the limit for Photobooks is 5, the answer was 1. Store Manager verified, that it is only 1. :-( I live in Austin/TX area…

Angelika, the ad does say the limit is one; however, it appears that the limit is actually 5. If you purchase one and the bottom of your receipt doesn’t say you’ve reached your limit, it’s likely that you’ll keep earning the ECBs on future purchases of that deal. Managers are usually not aware of these unadvertised limit changes.

I got 10 of the Honey Nut Cheerios today, I though maybe they might question it but the cashier just scanned the coupons and looked at me funny when she was done and said “you owe me nothing huh that was a good deal” lol.

Judy, have you tried different browsers? I can’t print them in anything but Internet Explorer, but I know others can only print in Firefox.

I am new at this and went to CVS yesterday and made one photobook. I have always wanted to do this, so the CVS deal was a great incentive. Turned out nice. The ECB printed with no problem. Nabbed some school supplies too! Came back a couple hours later to make another photobook because receipt said I hadn’t reached my limit, just like Tara said. Sure enough, another $7.99 in ECBs printed with the second book. Receipt still showed limit not reached. I’m going to make more today. My husband is in ‘awe’. I got him the Fusion Razor for free! Tara and the rest of you ladies are awesome! Thanks so much! I love this site!

Just got back from making the photo book this morning. The CVS photo technician was super nice and confirmed for me that the limit is indeed 5…she even posted a sign saying that :) The system saves your pictures for 24 hrs so I’ll be going back for 4 more.

I also got the cheerios no problem…didn’t beep or anything!
    Thank you so much :)

I use a Mac and have only been able to print coupons via Safari. I prefer Firefox but it won’t work no matter what I try. I haven’t tried the new Google Chrome – has anyone had success printing from that browser?

Can’t wait to gather my photos and create my photo books! I usually do these sorts of things late at night (after 10pm) to avoid crowds. There’s nothing worse than an impatient customer rushing you along!

I went to CVS Sunday morning-I was the first one in the door. I had wanted to buy some of the school supplies, and got a few things, but they really didn’t have much. I wanted to buy some folders for my brother, and they had 1!! They were on sale for 3 days and all they had in the store was 1 folder!!??

While you’re at CVS, don’t forget to scan your card. I went back there later today, scanned my card for the 2nd time and it printed a $2 off 2 Gold Emblem Nuts coupon. The single serve nuts are .99 (found near the cashier) so the coupon makes 2 totally free.

I’m usually pretty savvy about these things, but never thought about asking for a raincheck on a 3-day sale!!! I guess I will try and see what my local store says. And Barb, I am a LOYAL CVS customer now… their rewards program is so great and so much easier to use than the other stores!!! Some items ( like the razors) they limit the ECBs or even sale prices on, but I still prefer their system to submitting rebates at Rite Aid or dealing with the finicky register rewards at Walgreens!

You can only print 2 coupons per computer….I’m just fortunate enought to have access to 6 (we have 3 and my parents have 3 I use there’s and usually share the stuff I get from couponing) computers giving me the ability to print 2 from each one ;)

has anyone purchase more than 1 photobook in the same transaction? I just got a $4/$20 and would love to do 3 at once… what do you think??

I did them all seperately so i could use the ECBs from one to purchase the next, but since the limit in the computer seems to be 5 it should work to do them in multiples. But, you will get EBCs for the 3 books lumped together, so it will be 23.97 as one ECB. i think.

I got such a good deal yesterday at CVS. I got 4 Pepsi 12 packs, which were on sale 4/$12. I wish I had gotten them Sun-Tue though, b/c they were 4 for $10 and you got $2 ECB. But anyhow..I got 2 Coopertone Nutrashield sunscreens that were on sale for $8.99, and both bottles had a bonus .5 oz nutrashiled faces sunscreen with them. A bottle of gummy vitamins for my 4 year old, and 4 bottles of Arizona diet Green Tea that were BOGO. My total was $44.05 …and then I gave her my $5 off $25 CVS coupon, $5 ECB, $2 ECB and 2 $5 off Coppertone nutrashild coupons. My total was then $22.05 and I paid with my $25 gift card I got from the pharmacy for bringing in a new prescription!!! And I still have $2.95 left on my gift card!
