Definitely planning to get there on the early side — one of the few “rules” I’ve found CVSes in 2 states to be consistent about is “No rainchecks on 2-day sale items”.

Really? I’ve never been turned down for a rain check. Has anyone else had this problem?

Beware, the $4.99 Air Wick Freshmatic that is on sale is the MINI. The coupon that is labeled Freshmatic Automatic Mini prints out a coupon for the Air Wick Freshmatic Compact i-Motion automatic spray starter kit. I don’t think this will work for the item pictured in the ad.
    Any ideas???

Kate and Tara – I had no problem getting a rain check for the tape on sale this week. My mom also got a raincheck for the tape at another store, and a few other family members in various states were able to get a rainchecks for them, too. I will be showing up early, though, just in case! Do the ECBs for next week start printing at midnight tonight, or is it based on a specific time zone? Does anyone know? I work late tonight and it would be awesome just to stop by after work before anyone else smells the deal!

Yes, you have to do them in store. I should also note that last year the limit on these was 5, so if anyone purchases one tomorrow and it says you haven’t reached your limit, please let us know!

do you have to do the photo book when you purchase it or can you pay for it and go back later to do it?

Angie, I’m pretty sure you have to make them at the kiosk and then you pay when they’re finished.

Hi, I just got home from working at CVS. I store I work at actually starts the sale on Saturday ( So today the sale ending 7/11 and the sale starting 7/12 both worked at the register.) Just be careful because I bought the Tylenol and the Pepsi, the eb’s printed for the Tylenol but not for the pepsi.

Also I don’t know if this advertised but some Chi hair products (I had never heard of it) are on sale for $1.00 each. Only the Infra Treatment 12 oz. Reg. $14.49 and the Silk Infusion 2 oz. Reg. $14.49. You have to get them fast though because I thought it was a mistake and when my boss checked it came up as the sales price so we all bought some. There was only 3 of each though .

And yes, you have to make the photo book at the Kiosk. You can make it at the all digital machine that prints behind the counter (much better quality) or the self printing machine, if you have prints you have to scan then you have to use the self printing machine. Make sure you have time though because it takes awhile to pick your pictures and then organize and pick backrounds and all that fun stuff
    Hope this helps

Raeylynn, Any idea if this is just at your store? I just scanned ours and it is still ringing up 14.99. I’m hoping that 1.00 deal hits South Texas soon!

i went this morning and made my photobook. The ecb’s did not print. I had to go to the register and tell them, they then printed them out manually for me…I was kind of surprised, cause the deal is not listed in my ad. Also, at my store (Nevada) the Electrasol was ringin up at 5.88 instead of at 3.99, so make sure you price check.

My store just tried telling me I could only use one ECb coupon on my transaction. When I gave her the what are you talking about look and said I’ve never heard that before she said would try and see what happens ….. Of course they all went thru

Kim – did you scan your CVS card first? I know that’s a silly question, but I’ve gotten used to the cashiers asking “Do you have your CVS card?” so I lately I’ll forget to have them scan it unless they remind me. Of course, I always remember eventually when my eyes bug out when I see the price… lol.

Has anyone had trouble using their ECBs from last week? I used them at both stores in my area and some of the ECBs that printed last week kept beeping and saying that I had reached my limit. Both cashiers shrugged, checked my purchase, and said that everything looked fine and forced them through. I was only buying the 2-day school supply sale items and hadn’t used any manufacturer coupons so I can’t figure out why some ECBs went through fine and the others beeped.

Many people have reported the use of expired coupons at their local CVS stores, so I wrote corporate and asked for a copy of their latest coupon policy. This is what they said regarding expired coupons:

“Thank you for contacting CVS in regards to our coupon policy. I have listed it for you below. In regards to your question on expired coupons, they are at the discretion of the Store Manager, however, it is not our Corporate Policy to accept them.”

Sounds like those people who saw the “we accept expired coupons!” sign have awesome managers!

Here’s a better deal on getting school supplies basically for free.

Take your empty inkjet cartridges to Staples, they allow 10 a month. Since I’m buying them anyway for my computer, it’s good to recycle and save the eartyh.
When you turn them in they credit your Staples Rewards account. They credit you $3 per inkjet cartidge – which means that’s up to$30 a month. Then Staples sends you a credit check for the amount. Get on their email ist as they always send coupons and you get an early bird look at their specials.
My cost for school supplies $0
