I don’t think you can use that Ajax coupon on the soap that is on sale. It appears to be for the 21 oz. soap and the sale is on the 16 oz.

    Tara,,

Please read here and the following email below that I received from P&G regarding the Cookie PDF coupons. Even though they were posted on Cookie’s website, we believe those coupons were fraudulently scanned. According to the email below, Tide did not agree to post these coupons on the web in PDF format, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the other companies were oblivious to the file, too.

    From: “P&G Tide”
    To: “Me”

    Hi! Laura,

    Thanks for contacting Tide.

Thanks for the headsup on the Tide coupon (.pdf file). You are correct. We don’t offer these types of coupons due to the potential for fraud. If you found these coupons on the Internet, you may want to return to the site where they were located to discuss this issue. I’m also sharing the information you provided us with our Promotions Manager and Security Department.

Since you enjoy using coupons, you might want to check out the following site to see when our next P&G brandSAVER newspaper insert is available. Each month this insert contains valid P&G coupons for a variety of our products: https://www.brandsaver.com/cr

While you’re there, why not register to receive our monthly online magazine dedicated to simple solutions, great offers, and promotions from the P&G family of brands. Here’s a direct link to the P&G brandSAVER registration form:

    Hope you’ll stop by.

From what I’ve read, the Sharpie coupons and others in the PDF file are “usable” meaning they will scan at the register … however, the validity of the coupons must be questioned. I, personally, will not be using these coupons as obviously they are not meant to be in a PDF… using these coupons can backfire on consumers. Manufacturers will be less likely to distribute similar coupons in a legitimate way, and abusing these coupons means stores will be less likely to accept internet coupons in the future. But until an official announcement is made, then it’s purely up to the discretion of the smart consumer.

I know people question pdf coupons, but not all of them are fradulent I recently used a pdf coupon from expoeducator.com for expo markers and this a coupon on the manufacturer’s website in pdf format so it obviously wasn’t fradulent you just have to be choosy about where you get your pdf coupons :)

Jess R – You’re right, some manufacturers still post coupons in PDF format; however, Tide is owned by P&G who has a policy against PDF coupons. The Tide rep confirmed that this coupon is not endorsed by Tide/P&G, which makes me question the validity of the entire PDF file.

The Huggies deal does not include Overnites. Just thought I’d let everyone know! It is printed right in the ad and does not work at the checkout either…

My CVS stinks, they never have the items on sale and their truck comes on tuesday and they still dont have the item. They must only get a small amout of the sale item cause they are always out! Its ok to get the raincheck, but you dont always get the extrabucks

Just FYI, my CVS in Mass. had the Soleil Razors bundled with a free 4 pack cartridge refill on sale for $5.99. The ECB’s did not print on this pack, but it was still a great deal with a $3 off coupon from the paper!!

The Colgate total coupon in 8/9 SS wouldn’t work with the CVS deal at my store … at least not with the Total whitening.

DW – Thanks for the heads up! But… the Colgate coupon should work?! I can’t remember if there’s a size restriction on the coupon. But no matter, Walgreens has a better deal on Colgate Total toothpaste, so I’ll be going there instead! :)

larry, you are supposed to get the extra bucks on the raincheck and then they have to manually print them for you at the end of your transaction when you buy the item. call the 1800 number if they do not do this correctly.

I think many of you are missing the point regarding the Sharpies coupon. Just because it scans doesn’t mean it should be used. Many fraudulent coupons in the past scanned just fine, but were actually scanned paper coupons or printable coupons that were fraudulently recreated into PDF format. Sure, it’s great to get a $1 off here or there, but is it worth it when companies start to consider declining printable coupons for good? Many of us complain that Walmart or Target won’t accept certain types of printable coupons… well here is your reason!

diva88 and all – I received this reply from Sanford regarding the Sharpie coupon:

    “Hello Ms. Sxxxxxxx,

Thank you for taking the time to e-mail us and for your support of Sanford products.

The coupon that is offered on the site is valid. I have confirmed this with the Sharpie Department.

If we can be of any further assistance don’t hesitate to contact us.

    Brad Kelly
    Sanford Consumer Affairs

    000789952A”

Georgia-Pacific was less helpful and merely sent me an email offering to mail me coupons. Thanks, but I still want to know if these other coupons are valid!

Also not sure whether or not the Tide coupon will scan, but per P&G the coupon is fraudulent.
