Clorox ToiletWand Giveaway + $5 Coupon for Everyone!

October 19, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

1010066176

Clorox continues to introduce products to make cleaning and disinfecting easier, and the ToiletWand is no exception. Cleaning toilets is definitely high on my list of chores that I detest. It’s an icky job and one that I have to do frequently with the number of people in our household.

The Clorox ToiletWand took much of the ick factor out of this chore. I give it high ratings for its ease of use and convenient and clever storage. The holder keeps the wand and refills right next to the toilet in an attractive manner, and the refills pop off easily when you’re done cleaning so you never have to touch them with your hands. My toilets were sparkling and clean in minutes.

So what’s the downside? At $10 for the starter kit, it’s a little on the pricey side. This is only enough for six toilet cleanings, so you’re definitely going to get more bang for your buck with a standard toilet brush and cleaner.

Find out more about all of the Clorox cleaning products at Clorox.com.

Three (3) lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will win Clorox ToiletWand Kits!

To enter, share your best bathroom cleaning tip. Do you have any tips or tricks to make this dreaded chore easier?

You can also join the Clorox ToiletWand Twitter Party on 10/23, from 10-11 p.m. EST, for three more opportunities to win a ToiletWand kit, plus a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card. Sign up for your chance to win the Visa Gift Card at Consumer Queen.

If you want to weigh the convenience versus price benefits for yourself, you can print this $5/1 Clorox ToiletWand Kit printable (IE) or printable (FF) to save on the starter kit. Of course I’ll be on the lookout for store match-ups to make it an even better deal!

My tip is to try and wipe down the counters every night so that it doesn’t get too dirty too quickly.

    I have a couple tips…..

Have your teenage and pre-teen daughters do the cleaning (it’s really my favorite tip). And
We wipe down our bathroom sinks and mirrors every night with a rag we keep under the sinks. I use Clorox wipes some but just to wipe up water and the daily splatters, we use a rag and it cleans everything up and at least keeps it presentable if anyone were to drop by.

I am an email subscriber and my bathroom tip is Clorox wipes for use around the toilet. I have two boys in the house and this makes for easy clean up when they DONT!!

I wish I had a shortcut cleaning tip for bathroom cleaning (I don’t) BUT my hubby and I do exchange short and sweet “I LOVE U’s” in the fog so I rarely wipe our mirror down which saves me a minute or two AND makes for a nice reminder that we’re both loved. :)

I have my sister visit because she is a clean freak and actually cleans my bathrooms for me:) All I have to do is provide her with playtex gloves that I got for free from Kroger yeah! When she isn’t in the area, I make sure to have my lysol or clorox wipes near by to keep the bathroom clean.

When I clean the toilet, I am really picky about it being SUPER clean. I used to have a hard time cleaning around the toilet lid, where it latches to the toilet and at the bottom of the toilet around those cirular things….now I spray them down with 409 or whatever and use Q tips. They reach in there great and it’s super easy to get in the small crevases.

everyone has their tools and tips but the best way i keep my bathroom clean is i keep the cute clorox wipes (the ones w the pretty box) on top of the toilet seat and trained my husband to wipe the icky man part of the toilet during his morning routine.. the part was always gross and hard to remember to wipe down with the rest of the toilet since i dont use it! TRAIN YOUR HUSBANDS your life will be easier!

My best tip is I buy a multi pack of sponges and I use “pink for the sink” and any other color to clean the toilets and floors to ensure not contaminating my other surfaces!

I recently purchased the Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner when there was a good deal at Target (got it for $1) and love it! Now, it doesn’t mean you don’t have to clean your shower, it just makes it easier when it is time to do so!

I hate cleaning the toilet so any product making it a nicer job is great!!! But, I secretly spray the toilet and surrounding area with hand sanitizer I have added alchohol to to liquify it and let it air dry to kill the germs….then I scrub afterwards!!!! At least it outs my mind at ease thinking the germs may be gone before I touch it!!!!

use old toothbrushes to get rid of toothpaste scum on the toothbrush holder!

the ocd in me loves those wands, but i hate the environmental consequences of them.
