Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!

I use cloth diapers. They are easy and kinda fun! Much more of an accessory than disposables!

We donate as much of our unwanted stuff as possible. Especially clothes when my kids outgrow them!

I recycle, use re-usable bags, do full laundry loads, run errands to and from work instead of making separate trips, and keep electricical use to a minimum.

I love your website. Keep up the great work. I love all the idea’s and savings you give me. In my house we have started recycling anything and everything that can be reused. We have updated all the light bulbs to the lower energy bulbs. It has saved us over $10 a month on our bill.

I stopped buying bottled water, bring re-useable shopping totes everywhere and am currently teaching my daughter how to recycle and why it’s so important.

my favorite tip is NEVER using plastic bags at the grocery store- instead i use reusable totes. i also make sure i am monitoring my consumption of packaging and paper products– paper towels have completely disappeared from my house! thanks for the great giveaway!

I recycle everything. I use re-usable totes for all stores. I use a PUR water pitcher. I stopped buying paper towels, and I use rags now instead. I try to hand wash as many dishes as possible.

We recycle everything we possibly can. We compost our kitchen scraps for our garden and other flowerbeds, and we use totes for our groceries to eliminate the need for plastic bags.

Fluorescent light bulbs, I love them! Now that they make 3 way bulbs I am slowly replacing all of the bulbs in the house with them. I also use the reusable bags at the grocery store, I love those things.

I LOOOOOVE to recycle. My step-dad made us a neat little recycling center and I love to fill it up…and my husband hates having to take it to the trash center!
Jana
Use rags instead of paper towels. We’ve been using the same roll of PT since before Christmas and have barely made a dent in it.
Jennifer
My favorite green tip is to use reusable bags. I have them from lots of stores (most I received free) and some of them are very cute!!
Katy
I love consigning! Half my wardrobe came from consignment, and when the budget is tight, my rule on spending is that I can spend whatever I make back on consigning my old clothes. (Basically have to sell two to buy one- usually.) :-) Keeps the wardrobe from filling up, and makes sure everyone gets a chance at new clothes.
Michelle
I keep a separate trash bag for recycling, and I recycle ANYTHING that has the triangle on the bottom!

I use reusable totes everywhere. A little step, but a step no less.
