Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!

My small tip is using your own bags when shopping, and they have some pretty trendy and cheap ones available all over the place!

Out of any green thing done in my house, I would have to say reuseable grocery bags are my favorite!! I love them. Not only are they great for groceries at the store but they are also useful for SO much more! You can use them to take things on trips, to baseball games or even to someones house for a meal and if you happen to forget it its not a big deal!

I love your website! I have learned to save money on groceries beyond my expectations. I try to be green as often as possible and have for some time. My favorite and most recent green change was when I stopped using dryer sheets and started using an aluminum foil ball in the dryer. It takes away most of the static electricity – it works great and I don’t have to buy dryer sheets! I love this one!

I’ve been using baby washcloths instead of paper towels to clean baby up after eating – they work better anyway!

During the day I make it a point to open all of our curtains instead of turning on lights. This has saved not only energy but has cut my electric bill by ten dollars a month! My kids even know not to turn on the lights until daddy gets home.

I use canvas shopping bags and reuse the plastic ones I have accumulated. I have a garden and have frozen veggies, fruit and other products like meat broth to use later. We use friendly, natural cleaning solutions such as vinegar for floors and mirrors. I am educating my children on the values of saving money, recycling, and taking care of our Earth.

I use canvas bags at the store…I also unplug anything not in use

I keep my canvas bags in the car and try not to forget them.
I always have used the grocery plastic bags for liners for the little trash cans, so at least I am not buying trashcan liners. At least I reuse before they get thrown out.
I am starting to use cloth napkins rather than paper ones. I have a ton of them. Might as well use em.
I am writing down my errands and combining runs to town into only a couple of days a week rather than going and going and going like the Energizer bunny. Besides, I get more done at home this way!
Thanks for having the giveaway.

I also have a little garden in my backyard with vegtables in it…Just enough to make a little salad but I still love it
