Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!
How can you win?

My tip is to use fluorescent light bulbs to save energy and money.

I use cloth diapers. For anyone who’s interested, but thinks cloth is more difficult check out BumGenius. They are so nice my MIL is willing to use them when she babysits. And I get the satisfaction of NOT contributing 2 tons of diaper waste for one little baby.
Steph
I dry my clothes on a clothesline to save energy.

I reuse my shopping tote. It’s great because it helps save the environment and I save five cents per bag I use.

I am subscribed to your feed. There is One chance! Since summer is coming, my favorites are to use homemade things as much as possible, to compost kitchen scraps, and to retain lint from the vacuum to use for kindle when camping. Hope I win!!

I love reusable totes for the grocery store or for taking items to friend’s houses. It makes me feel good that I am sparing our land fills.

I don’t use bottled water anymore. I have a water pitcher with a filter and fill reusable cups to take with me on walks.

I use a lot of night lights in my house because you don’t always need an overhead light or lamp to do something simple in a room.
Melissa
My favorite green tip is to just do whatever you can – take reusable shopping bags to the store, replace plastic water bottles with a reusable one, and so on. The little things add up!
