Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!

We recycle, use reusable shopping bags, and use filtered water instead of bottled.
The Bissell Little Green Machine has been on my wishlist for a while now!

My favorite way to be green is using a brita filter, our water taste bad and I can’t drink it unless I filter it first. So my water is good for me and the planet. :)

I’m teaching my son, and the 3 kids I nanny for to recycle! I thinking teaching someone is the most important, if I teach them, then there are 4 more of us who recycle (eventually)!

i like to use homemade cleaners like the vinegar and water for countertops and the microwave. I use vinegar and detergent for carpet cleaner (this way we aren’t wasting the plasting containers) I also like to use cloth napkins instead of paper towels

I just try to do everyday “little” things like recycling everything from plastic to cardboard, recycling and reusing paper at home and at work, conserving energy, etc.
Janet
I try to reuse items in a different way rather than throwing it out.

My tip is to use cloth napkins instead of paper. I have been using cloth for a few years now and prefer the feel over paper.

We have started a garden. Not only does it help with us not being responsible for the trucks polluting the air taking the produce to the store, but it is good for us too! We also compost.

The change we’ve made that has made the greatest “green” impact is to recycle. Our curbside recycling program was discontinued but we still have a drop off day once each month or two, so my family and I save up our recyclables and drop them off when scheduled. Its not always convenient, but it teaches our sons the right thing to do.

Favorite going green idea, using the tide cold water detergent. Just as effective, saves a lot of $$ on heating hot water.

My favorite green tip is to use vinegar to clean almost anything!

I’m sure many people have already mentioned most of my ideas, so I’ll list a couple in the hopes of hitting on SOMETHING new. We don’t use paper towels anymore, I use cloth diapers and wipes on my daughter, I try to use steam cleaning whenever possible (I have a shark steam cleaner that I use on my windows etc.) and homemade green cleaner when I can’t use steam, I drive a hybrid, and I take my own containers when I shop for bulk food so that I don’t have to bring home millions of plastic bags.
