Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- Bissell Little Green Machine
- Clorox Greenworks Cleaners
- White Cloud Recycled Paper Towels and Toilet Paper
- Brita Water Filter Pitcher
- Tide Cold Water Detergent – not pictured
I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!

I clean with vinegar and water for glass, and we’ve replaced all of our lightbulbs with CFLs. They are small steps, but it does make a difference. I also have a stash of tote bags to use when I head to the grocery store.

My favorite green tip is recycling and reusing–my husband is in school and so he prints a lot of papers..we use the old ones for color sheets for my kids..they don’t mind the printing and it makes them seem like coloring book pages. Then we recycle once they have colored on them.

Donate used items on freecylce.com or for charities, recycle most things in the house or use for crafts, and try really hard not to buy too many “things” for all of us!

My favorite green tip is that little steps make a big difference. Minimizing use of electricity, turning the water off when you’re brushing, and recycling are all easy ways to start going green. I like saving old newspapers and magazines in a stack for recycling and they double as table liners for any messy craft projects for my toddler.

Hang clothes to dry, rather than using the dryer. Especially great for linens and towels because they smell so good.
Andrea
Use reusable containers and bags instead of plastic bags.

We live in Wisconsin and beginning April 1 I am pretty strict with my children about walking and/or biking to school and other local destinations. Also, we plant a garden every year.
Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite green tip is using a simple clorox water solution as an all purpose cleaner! Thanks for the tip!

This year we finally joined a CSA for the summer and fall. Taking three kids to the farmers market every week is fun but a lot of work. Now I have just one stop and we get fresh, organic, local produce every week!

I green tip is to use the energy saving light bulbs. Those can be expensive so my husband and I are changing out the bulbs as I find good deals and coupons. I really does make a difference on the electric bill.

greenbags and totes when doing any sort of shopping help. canteens are great for replacing plastic bottles, and in ca, u can get 5cents for bottles when recycled, so after a party, you can do good, and earn money.
