Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. We’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!
Today’s giveaway is especially for all the younger siblings who stand at the window longingly watching their big brothers and sisters head off to school!
Aren’t these fuzzy little guys just about the cutest thing ever? Smooshies are basically a fuzzy pillow with velcro arms, legs, features, hair, etc. that allow your child to express their creativity. You can find extra parts to increase the combinations at Michael’s and Joann Fabric’s.
I don’t know which of my kids was more enthralled with the Smooshie. My youngest just loves to snuggle and cuddle with it. But he’s also enjoying ripping off random body parts and waving them around with delight. Note: Smooshies are intended for kids ages 3 and older, but I let me little guy give it a whirl while closely supervised.
The older kids got a little creative and got a kick out of seeing what “kooky creation” they could come up with by putting body parts in unusual places. I didn’t anticipate my oldest showing much interest, but even he surprised me and decided to get in on the fun.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a complete Smooshies kit, ready to be snuggled and played with!
To enter, leave a comment and tell me about your favorite toy as a young child! Was it something soft and cuddly and sentimental or something that sparked hours of imaginative play?

My favorite toy was the alf doll, the one that you put the cassette into his back and he would sing to the music. My son loves trains, my oldest daughter is getting into barbie dolls, and my youngest likes anything that the other two are not playing with at that moment! They’re 4, 2 and 11 months.

I loved, loved, loved (and still do) the Spirograph. I kept mine in the original box with all the pieces. It was my most prized toy.

My favorite toy was my Little Tykes toy car, red with yellow roof, kid powered. I was THRILLED to finally have a kiddo of my own and find they still make these! Said kid also loves her car, and would love that Smooshies kit, too!

My favorite toys were fluppy dogs and Barbies and my one Ken doll! I still have all of my Barbies and Ken in a container, but fluppy was lost. However, I just recently found a pink one at Goodwill for $1.00. Made my day!

Waffle blocks from Little Tikes. I might try to get some on Ebay for my daughter or we will have to settle for Klicks.

Cute, cute, cute! My granddaughter has minor c.p. and this would be a wonderful toy to use with her Physical Therapist! I will be on the lookout at the store to pick one of these up for her if I’m not the lucky winner! Have a blessed day!

When I was 2 my parents gave me a stuffed bunny that was bigger than me for Easter. When I went off to college my mom convinced me it was time to give it up. :)

I loved my stuffed animals when I was a kid. I’d line them up on the bed, put on a cassette tape, and “conduct” my stuffed animal choir with a spaghetti noodle!

My fav toy was a huge raggdy ann doll my mom made me. It was 4ft tall. However, she ran out of time before giving it to me so it only had hair around the crown of the head. The back of her head was bald!

I had very few toys growing up and would play with the ones I had over and over again. I loved to play with colorforms sets. I would set for hours pealing off the the pieces and arranging them in the just right way to make the picture. My kids have no interest in them…LOL

Oh my son would love this, we saw them at the store and he thought it was the greatest. :)
My favorite toy was this glow worms house I had, for the little plastic glow worm toys. I would spend hours creating all different sorts of trouble for my one favorite glow worm to get into. :D

When I was five I got a “keyboard” that looked like a big floor mat. Walking on the keys made it play. I wish I had another, but I don’t even know what they were called!
Coincidentally, now I’m a piano teacher. :)

My favorite toy was my Teddy Ruxpin!! Anyone remember those? It was a bear that read to you, and sometimes he would just talk on his own, that was creepy!
