Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. We’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!
Today’s giveaway is especially for all the younger siblings who stand at the window longingly watching their big brothers and sisters head off to school!
Aren’t these fuzzy little guys just about the cutest thing ever? Smooshies are basically a fuzzy pillow with velcro arms, legs, features, hair, etc. that allow your child to express their creativity. You can find extra parts to increase the combinations at Michael’s and Joann Fabric’s.
I don’t know which of my kids was more enthralled with the Smooshie. My youngest just loves to snuggle and cuddle with it. But he’s also enjoying ripping off random body parts and waving them around with delight. Note: Smooshies are intended for kids ages 3 and older, but I let me little guy give it a whirl while closely supervised.
The older kids got a little creative and got a kick out of seeing what “kooky creation” they could come up with by putting body parts in unusual places. I didn’t anticipate my oldest showing much interest, but even he surprised me and decided to get in on the fun.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a complete Smooshies kit, ready to be snuggled and played with!
To enter, leave a comment and tell me about your favorite toy as a young child! Was it something soft and cuddly and sentimental or something that sparked hours of imaginative play?

My favorite toy was the snoopy snowcone machine. I loved it. Snoopy and Woodstock were awesome!

My favorite childhood toy was glue. No really it was. I loved craft projects and gluing things together was my favorite pastime. I used to watch Carol Duvall and then go to my room and try to recreate her projects with what I could scavenge around the house. I was strange :)

My favorite toy as a child was a soft blue doll with nylon face and a lace trim hat. I kept it but lost track of it when I moved into my own house. Years later when I was pregnant with my first child, my mother wrapped it and gave it to me at my shower. There was not a dry eye in the place when they saw my reaction and my daughter 3 plays with it everyday.

I was an ’80’s kid so definately Cabbage Patch Kids, and I do still have mine from when I was a kid. My daughter also has 2 so at least it was something to carry on the tradition of…still think they are cute!
Thanks for the opportunity!

My favorite toy were three little resin animals my mom got from Hallmark. I played “family” with them. I had a panda bear, a beagle, and a cat. I still have them tucked away in my jewelry box.

This is so cute! It reminds me of the Discovery Toys cape with the interchangeable icons.

Loved the Care Bears! My daughter has one, but it does not look the same, their heads seem a lot bigger than the ones I had.

My favorite toy growing up was a pink and gray stuffed mouse called Mousekin. My dad bought him for me after someone stole my stuffed cat out of my hospital room when I was in kindergarten. I still have him!

Stuffed animals – collected one from each trip I took. My kids love them, too, but being upper-elementary boys they are more into Legos, KNex & building things now. Thank you!

My favorite toy as a kid was a toy kitchen that my dad made and a sleeve of plastic food. I loved it SO much!

My favorite childhood toy? It’s a toss-up between Legos and My Little Pony. I could spend hours playing with either one and both were great for creative play. The best was when I had “crossover play” where I built a Lego stable for the Little Ponies. Ah, good times….
Lissa
I was all about My Little Ponies and Barbies when I was younger. :)
