Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. We’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!
Today’s giveaway is especially for all the younger siblings who stand at the window longingly watching their big brothers and sisters head off to school!
Aren’t these fuzzy little guys just about the cutest thing ever? Smooshies are basically a fuzzy pillow with velcro arms, legs, features, hair, etc. that allow your child to express their creativity. You can find extra parts to increase the combinations at Michael’s and Joann Fabric’s.
I don’t know which of my kids was more enthralled with the Smooshie. My youngest just loves to snuggle and cuddle with it. But he’s also enjoying ripping off random body parts and waving them around with delight. Note: Smooshies are intended for kids ages 3 and older, but I let me little guy give it a whirl while closely supervised.
The older kids got a little creative and got a kick out of seeing what “kooky creation” they could come up with by putting body parts in unusual places. I didn’t anticipate my oldest showing much interest, but even he surprised me and decided to get in on the fun.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a complete Smooshies kit, ready to be snuggled and played with!
To enter, leave a comment and tell me about your favorite toy as a young child! Was it something soft and cuddly and sentimental or something that sparked hours of imaginative play?

I had a doll that my grandma made. It’s body was crocheted right into a blanket that folded around it. It’s pretty fragile, so it’s in storage at my parents’ house. I’m pretty sure my kids would tear it apart.

I grew up in the 80’s. So my favorite toys were the Care bears. They are so cool. I managed to save the little figure ones with the nylon hair. They don’t make the like that anymore. Any who my 3yr old daughter loves to play with them.
And for my son, my mother in-law saved all of my husbands toys when he was a youngster in the 60’s. Like snoopy and the jalopy with clown. Wooden car body and clown’s head and hat were my sons favorites.

My son started all day kindergarten today, And my daughter was missing him really bad. =(
My dog dropped his ball down the steps and my daughter ran down the stairs calling for her brother, she thought that was him. We’ll see how tomorrow goes.

I had a brown bear with denim overalls and a red flannel shirt. I loved him to pieces, literally. He didn’t survive the trip in the washer one day.

I loved dolls as a kid, especially my bald cabbage patch (child of the 80s!). My daughter wants nothing to do will dolls but plays with stuffed animals constantly.

My favorite toy had to be barbie dolls. My mom would make me clothes, and she would use the leftover material and make clothes for my barbie. Then we could wear identical outfits. It was the best!
Kari
too cute!
