buy baby detergent, you wont have to buy softner and its gentle on the clothes and your skin. i fold laundry and put it away right when it comes out of the dryer, that way it doesnt pile up and im not over welmed at the end. i fold shirts like they do in the stores so i always know what shirt it is b4 i drag it out of the stack.

Hubs got me those fancy LG machines. I love doing laundry now. It’s the folding and putting away that isn’t so fun.

We have two laundry baskets in our room -one for white clothes and one for colors. Then I don’t have to sort before I do the laundry. I wish I had thought of this when I was a college student!

I let the washer and dryer run while I’m doing other things (like making dinner/cleaning). So when I’m done with the other chores, I’ll also have nice, clean clothes waiting for me!
Lisa
I love folding clothes as soon as they are dry, plus you eliminate the wrinkles.

I really have no tips for laundry but I have read some awesome tips that I will have to incorperate in my laundry routine : )

My fav. laundry tip is don’t buy non-chlorine bleach! It’s pricey and you can get the active ingredient in a non-chlorine bleach for about .50¢ a bottle. That ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide! I add Hydrogen Peroxide to my reg. laundry detergent in place of non-chlorine bleach when washing colored clothes.
$3 or more a bottle for Non-Chlorine Bleach vs. $1 or so for a huge bottle of HP.
The savings add up!

I use less detergent and my clothes still get clean.
Also, I have the fiance fold the laundry! Haha :)

I LOVE the Shout Color Catchers because I have not had clothes fade on each other since using them. They aren’t the cheapest but if they save an entire load of clothes then it is worth it! I also purchased the Bounce bar for the dryer. With coupons I paid a dollar and now I have softner for 2 months without buying any! Now if someone would just invent something that folded it when it was done :)

My tip for making laundry easier is to have my husband do it. ;)

I subscribe via google reader. Does that count?

The only thing I can say is that I rarely use the amount of liquid fabric softener that they recommend :p I feel like I get the results that I want with about 1/2 of what they say you need.

I just love Dreft stain remover. It gets out every kind of laundry stain imaginable.
Jenny
I don’t have any tips either. Except I make sure that my kids know that wearing clothes one time doesn’t automatically make them dirty. I try to get as many wears as possible out of those clothes before getting the laundry done!

For oil stains sprinkle a lil cornstarch and it will absorb the oil then just brush it off!

i would say washing at least two loads everyday and teaching the kids how to wash their own close

I like to cut dryer sheets in half. It still does a great job and lasts twice as long.
