My laundry tip is to treat stains with Shout as soon as the soiled item is removed. I would like to win.

I do our laundry and a friends laundry and we live in an apartment building so to save time, since there is a bank of washers and dryers I do our laundry all at once using 3 to 5 washers at the same time and then drying it all at once in the same number of dryers, so if you can do that it saves a lot of time.

vinegar in the wash helps with stains

I save money on laundry by stockpiling detergeant whenever its on a deep deep sale and i can use a coupon. I have not “paid” for laundery detergeant in years except for tax. I also cut my dryer sheets in half.

I have the kids help with this never ending chore. Although I have to refold some items when my 8 year old is in charge, he is learning about responsiblity and team work. As far as product goes- I love Shout (especially for the clothing of the previously mentioned 8 year old).

It is much easier now that the kids are grown and out on their own, although I seem to have various baby items in the wash from visits. I have switched to using cold water for my wash and I do have a front load washing machine and they have both helped to decrease costs.

My best tip is tp teach the kids to do their OWN laundry at a young age.

I do it as soon as I have a load fill, eliminates endless hours of folding, which I hate

When my second child was born, I discovered the wonders of Oxi-Clean. I soaked the formula-stained clothing from baby #1 overnight in the bathtub and voila! They were like new!

As a family of five, we have a lot of laundry.
To save time, the children are responsible for getting their own laundry to the laundry room and sorting it into one of four categories – jeans, dark, light, towels. I also no longer fold/roll/match socks. Each person gets a pile that belongs to him/her. Amazing how much time that one step took.
To save money, we use cold water, make our own laundry detergent, and use dryer balls. As a side benefit, towels are fluffier without dryer sheets. :-D
