I don’t know about you, but at my house, doing laundry for five kids is a never ending chore, and I’m always looking for ways to make it easier. So when Clorox sent me their Complete the Cycle kit, I was especially excited to read their tips and try out the very cool FlipFold.

Have you always wanted perfectly folded shirts and tees like those department store displays? Now you can organize your very own drawers and closets with the FlipFold. Just follow the simple instructions included in the box, and you’ll be flipping and folding your way to neater drawers and less wrinkles in no time.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Complete the Cycle prize package that includes:

  • 22-oz. bottle of Clorox 2 Ultra
  • A Clorox Bleach Pen

I just tried the new Purex sheets and they saved me a ton of time – so easy to just throw them in. And we used a coupon with a sale price, so they were not that expensive at all!

I only deal with the laundry at set days and times – it makes it seem less overwhelming to me.

We wash all of our clothes on cold and don’t separates our whites and colors unless we need to bleach something, so we throw our dirty clothes straight into the washing machine. The person who last fills the machine starts the wash, and the next person who needs to throw something in the wash empties the wash into the dryer.

I do a load every time I get enough for a load to wash. I hang dry my sons clothes and linen that doesn’t have to be wrimkle free even in the winter.

My best tip for laundry is that I have five laundry baskets – yes, 5. I absolutely hate putting laundry away! It used to sit for days – we would just take out what we needed. To eliminate that problem, I added some baskets to my laundry room. One each for my husband, my son and myself, and then a basket for downstairs laundry(kitchen towels, downstairs guest bath towels, table linens, etc) and upstairs laundry (bathroom towels, sheets, etc). I do all of our laundry, fold it and place it into the correct basket, then take them upstairs(usually with my husband’s help) and put them away – returning the empty baskets to the laundry room when emptied – having everything presorted makes putting away the laundry a TON easier and faster !!

The way I save time on laundry is to not worry about it until it is time to actually do it! For me, if I had a set schedule or routine with laundry I would always fall behind and end up very overwhelmed and spending way more time than I wanted to. This way, I do it as needed and am done!

The only thing better would be the elves that fold clothes at night!

Put no iron shirts, blouses slacks etc. on plastic hangers and hang outside on a clothesa line with clothes pins in between each hanger. Clothes are ready to be hung in closets and smell great.

To save time, I do a load while I am cooking, cleaning, etc. Get two things done at once.

Now that my kids are a little older they each have days to do their own laundry cutting my time down drastically. I still wash towels, sheets and comforters. What I do is before I leave for work I put a load in. I set it to start one hour before I am due home so when I walk in the door the load has just stopped and I can put it in the dryer. I put another load in and set it to start washing 1 hour before I wake up. When I wake up I take the other load out the dryer to fold and put the new load in the dryer.(I work 3rd shift) This helps me as a single mom but it does get things washed so that on my off days I have less to do and more time to spend with the kids.

A load a day helps keep the laundry stress to a minimum!
