I don’t know about you, but at my house, doing laundry for five kids is a never ending chore, and I’m always looking for ways to make it easier. So when Clorox sent me their Complete the Cycle kit, I was especially excited to read their tips and try out the very cool FlipFold.

Have you always wanted perfectly folded shirts and tees like those department store displays? Now you can organize your very own drawers and closets with the FlipFold. Just follow the simple instructions included in the box, and you’ll be flipping and folding your way to neater drawers and less wrinkles in no time.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Complete the Cycle prize package that includes:

  • 22-oz. bottle of Clorox 2 Ultra
  • A Clorox Bleach Pen
  • Coupon for 1 Free bottle of Clorox Bleach

To save money, I always stock up on detergent when it’s at a certain price. I will buy as many as I have coupons for.

Each type of laundry is a different day so I don’t get overloaded all on one day-whites on one day, darks on another, etc. Always keep an eye out for sales on the brands I typically use.

I live in an apartment and have to pay for each load of laundry so I’m always conscious of my loads and ways to save money.. I hang everything I can to dry. Generally I wash two loads and dry one which saves $1 for every two loads..

In order to save money on my laundry expenses (energy costs) I put my clothes in the dryer for about 10-15 mins on low heat to help smooth out and remove wrinkles and then hang them on hangers in the door way to dry the rest of the way. It saves on your energy cost, both by saving the cost of elec to run the dryer longer and on cooling the house off when it warms up because of the heat from the dryer. You clothes will last much longer too saving you more money in the long run.

I like to do all my laundry in one day but of course that always means an extra load or two during the week because my 6 year old daughter changes every five minutes!! I buy my detergent with coupons of course and always when it’s on sale for better deals!! And I stock up as well! In the end doing laundry isn’t so bad I guess!!

I am a regular reader of your blog and have your button on my blog to link to your blog for any reader that may be interested.

Here is a laundry tip I learned long time ago. Instead of putting a whole dryer sheet into the dryer, I only use 1/2. I do not use any on towels, wash cloths, dish cloths, or underclothes. I only use them on our work/school clothes to make them seem fresher. So basically one box does the job of two! : )

I have the washer and dryer set that “finish” at the same time, clothes in dryer ready when washer finishes, this saves sooooo much time in going to check clothes, cycles, etc. And they have buzzers to let me know when they are ready for my “intervention”.

I am laundry impaired-I can never seem to get it done or get it folded and put away. I also seem to be jinxed by bad machines whether I buy the most expensive one or cheapest they are always broken down-right now I am without a washer-I need laundry cheer!

The best laundry tip I have is to teach the kids how to do their own. Then they won’t bring it home from college for mom to do. I also taught them how much coupons can save them.
