I always buy clothes at the end of the season for the following year. Summer clearance items are good for the first couple months of school. I am a TJ Maxx addict, so I hope I win!

I find a store with the best deals and get as many items as I can for a low price, and use coupons to go with it.

Right now t-shirts are on sale. So I buy the next size up that my daughter is currently wearing. So that it is a little loose over a long sleeve shirt with jeans or pants for that layered look in the fall. By spring, she fits in the t-shirt. Buying the t-shirts when they are cheap and you are able to use them all year long. You can also do this with a spagetti strap sleeveless shirt over a long sleeve shirt with leggings.

I shop the clearance racks and take advantage of the tax free shopping weekend. I’m also lucky that I can move my older daughter’s clothes directly into my younger daughter’s drawer so we get 2 years of wear on most things.

I shop clearance racks all year long and I never buy anything that isn’t usually at least 75% off. It is possible to dress great for not much.

i usually shop at outlet stores when they have good sales then use coupons and shop the clearance: I can usually find enough clothes for my son’s next size for under $100 (he’s still in 0-3 month clothes and he’s seven months)

How I stretch wardrobes? I have 2 daughters and the younger one is still young enough to enjoy getting her sister’s hand me downs :-)

We also do a lot of layering … short sleeved shirts over long sleeved shirts… capri’s under skirts…. capri’s under shorts…

My family had 3 girls, so everything got handed down; and my mom shopped at garage sales. For my kids, I GLADLY accept any hand-me-downs from friends and family. Thanks!

My daughter is very tall & thin so we always take her jeans that are too short, cut them off & hem them to make capris or shorts. And we always shop the clearance rack or resale shops.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
