Cost and style are SO important, but durability is a must since we reuse the shoes that I buy for my oldest for our other 2 girls!

I always looked for quality. Shoes are something I never passed down to another child because their feet mold their shoes and I have seen too many children with feet problems due to ill fitting shoes. I love crocs! I would get the MacKenzie!

I look for a balance between comfort, style, and cost. Kids won’t wear shoes if they don’t look cool, and I won’t buy them if they’re too expensive! I’ll give younger kids a choice between 2-3 different styles that fit in the budget, and I’ll give older kids a price range and let them find options for themselves.

Make sure there is plenty of toe room so they dont grow out of the shoes too soon.

Price is most important to me, since we go thru so many pairs of shoes! I love all of these styles but I think my son would love the Dawsons.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
