I always put in decorated napkins. I use holiday and seasonal ones that I find in the party aisle of the supermarket or WalMart or the dollar store.
For snacks, they like to bring frozen go-gurts oand they love cut up fruit that I put in decorative containers. I often write notes on their containers with a washable marker, too.
Thanks!

I always include a little letter to put a smile on their face in the middle of the day, and I let them choose their healthy snack out every morning, it helps when they feel like they had a say in what hey are going to eat :-)

We make snacks fun and make a game of it. We put together a colorful sheet (my 6 year old cut out pictures of stuff) and he gets to pick something from it each day.

I freeze gogurt yogurt tubes and use that as my son’s ice pack. It keeps his lunch cold and it’s a healthy snack for lunch. I also make sure to always pack grapes and/or carrot sticks too.
Elizabeth

To make their lunches healthy and fun, I try to include many different colors and textures of food. One of their favorites is shrimp salad pinwheels and carrot/red pepper sticks. I also always include a treat such as a fun sized candy bar or a few Hershey’s kisses.

I freeze go-gurts and put them in their lunches in the morning. They’re defrosted and delicious by lunch time, and they’re a lot healthier than pudding or what have you.
Whitney
At least one fun surprise in the lunchbox like a note or picture on the napkin, hinged chopsticks, dipping dauces, a small treat, using cookie cutter on sandwich, wraps instead of sandwiches, etc.
