New Crayola Crayons were one of my favorite back-to-school supplies as a kid. There was just something about a brand new pack of shiny, multi-colored crayons that inspired me to want to create colorful images of hearts and rainbows and all things sparkly and pretty that the imaginations of young girls conjure up. That waxy scent still takes me right back to the first day of 2nd grade, kind of like the smell of Playdoh reminds me of rainy day fun. . .

    During hard times growing up we didn’t have very much. But we always had Crayola crayons and coloring books. And would color for hours.
    My children and I also color quite a bit together as I love the talks and the time that we interact.

    My memory of using Crayola products as a kid would be coloring at the kitchen table with my mom, brother and sister with the 64 count crayons!!! Now I do it with my kids!!!

    I loved coloring books as a kid! I’m now in the process of trying to coax my youngest (15 months) to color. So far no luck but I’ll keep trying!

    I remember when I came over to America and I had just started school in the 1st grade, we had a coloring project and I fell in love with all of the colors. I had never had crayons in my country before. So when I saw them for the first time I was like WOW. I was so amazed. I still to this day love coloring. Now my kids and I do coloring project together.

    I love how vivid and visceral our collective memories are of Crayola crayons. As someone who’s fascinated with brands and marketing, I think its awesome how Crayola has created such an American icon in its product that resonates with everyone and anyone. And yes, my heart still skips a beat when I see a toy aisle filled with Crayola brand products.

    I remember getting the big box with the sharpener built in for christmas every year. We would take the shavings and iron them down on wax paper and it was one of my favorite things! I couldn’t WAIT until my DD was old enough (two years ago!) for us to do this project. She is about a million times the artist I am so I KNOW she would love this prize

    I loved drawing as a kid. I remember using my Crayola Crayons to drawn a picture of my favorite book cover that I entered into a contest at my school. I won first prize!!! So proud as a 4th grader!
