New Crayola Crayons were one of my favorite back-to-school supplies as a kid. There was just something about a brand new pack of shiny, multi-colored crayons that inspired me to want to create colorful images of hearts and rainbows and all things sparkly and pretty that the imaginations of young girls conjure up. That waxy scent still takes me right back to the first day of 2nd grade, kind of like the smell of Playdoh reminds me of rainy day fun. . .
I’m so glad that Crayola products have stood the test of time and are now inspiring a new generation of imaginations. And I’m happy to share with you about how you can join in the fun!
Every Tuesday night through the month of August, Crayola is sponsoring “Girls Night Out” on Twitter – the mommy social gathering featuring colorful and engaging discussions on all things back-to-school. Crayola has teamed up with MomItForward.com, the creator of “Girls Night Out” (GNO), to bring you the “Crayola Creativitycast.” The weekly series of GNO discussions will feature a new topic each week like “Affordable Fun 101” and “Back to School Survival Guide,” and all GNO participants will have the chance to win great prizes!
For more details about tonight’s #GNO chat and how to participate, go here.
Don’t worry if you’ve already got plans during these events – you also have the opportunity to win one of four Crayola Creativity Packs right here on Deal Seeking Mom!

I love the Crayola Glitter Glue because I love adding some sparkle to our projects. I remember in grade school all the girls just had to have the glitter pens and glitter glue tubes in all kinds of colors and glittered all their work and even their desks. The teachers didn’t care for all the glitter tubes because they usually made a sticky mess.

Oh, I remember spending rainy afternoons sitting at my Grandmother’s coffee table coloring away while she watched her soaps. And coloring with my Mom as a toddler, and my cousins showing me that your picture looks better if you color all in the same direction… The list could go on, I used to color all the time! LOL

When I was a kid, we’d use the sharpener on the back of the box. Then we’d color the walls and get the tar kicked out of us.

I am a special education teacher in the inner city. Crayola products are like GOLD! Kids usually dont come with school supplies in September, so I usually foot the bill for the supplies. I would love to win this prize for my students!!!

Oh, and my fav memory was when I was about 9, I got a plastic carrier with 96 brand new sharp Crayola crayons. I didnt even want to use the crayons, thats how special this was to me. Well, my mom let my brother use my new crayons when I was at a friends house and he left the whole carrier outside in the middle of August. Needless to say, they all melted and I cried for days. I never forgot that yellow plastic carrier, I have not seen one of those ever again!!

I remember getting my first (of many) 64 box. I was laying on the livingroom floor for about 2 hours with them before I ever colored. I was too busy learning all the color names! Thanks for reminding me!

One of my favorite memories is when I got the big 64 count box that had gold and yellow in it and the sharpener attached to the box. I loved coloring with that box of crayons! It allowed me to let my creativity loose.
