I really let the good times roll for the holidays so when the new year comes, I know i have to get back in the gym and work on the eating habits. I have to remember that I’m paying for the gym and with money being tight, I should really remember that everyday I’m not working out is a day I am literally wasting money. And well, the better I eat, the less I waste and the better for everyone in general.

After the holidays, I try to cut back on sweets and dont eat as much. I always make the “Lose weight” as a New Year’s resolution but it NEVER works. But I try to eat more homecooked meals and salads when I go out to eat.

Yes, I do change my habits to get back into shape after the holidays. There’s so much rush and so much going on but I usually have a little time to breath after Christmas that I can start thinking of eating better. This year I’m gradually cutting out the sweets (which is very hard for me) and am trying to get into the habit of eating breakfast.

BTW – just found your blog in the past week or so. Love it!

I’m an obsessive runner year-round, and I eat healthfully, so the new year doesn’t change my exercise or eating habits. I do plan to get more serious about couponing next year, though!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
