I have signed up for a 1/2 marathon on the 9th. That way I have to continue training through the holidays. It kept the weight off!

I *should* get back into shape after the new year, but realistically, I probably won’t! In the past, I have signed up for the gym and actually went for a while, but I just don’t feel the urge this year!

Normally, yes. But I’m pregnant and don’t think a diet would be the best for baby right now. :) Maybe next year? :) :) :)

I exercise more, watch what I eat and how much I eat. Hard to do after enjoying so many yummy foods during the holidays!

I’m stepping up my workout routine a little bit, and cutting back on junk food.

This would be a yummy one to win, but probably not that great for my weight. This year I really need to do something about my weight.

I try to change my habits. I’ve started early this year. My husband and I are going to the gym about 4 times a week and I’ve been cooking healthier meals, I’m not only doing this for me and my husband but for my 2 year old as well. I want to make sure she eats as healthy as possible. We decided to start before the New Year.

I definitely change my habits back to healthy – but I love to eat, so it’s totally worth it!

I will definitely get back focused after the New Year, last year I did and lost 50 lbs, I have put back on about 10 pounds and still need to lose some, so back to running and eating healthy come January 2nd!!

We received a ton of junk food as gifts this year. How can you not put to good use your gifts? Maybe after we’ve finished our gifts. Maybe. ;]

What does that mean, “in shape.” Is that what happens when I’ve played the Wii and DON’T hurt the next day? Huh.

I get an hour long lunch break so I go for a 45-minute walk, and when I come back, I’m not as hungry so I eat less. Two birds with one stone. And I sometimes take a few 5-minute breaks at my desk and use hand weights to tone my arms.

Starting next week, I will be scheduling time with myself to get to the gym twice a week. I figure if I put it on my calendar like any other appointment, it might actually happen! I’m also trying to drink a lot more water this week to jumpstart eating healthy.

I’m hoping to get back into shape by eating fewer carbohydrates, drinking plenty of water, and exercising as much as I can. I don’t have the money to pay for a gym membership, so instead, I put my son in his stroller and walk to the mall that’s a few blocks away, and then walk around the mall a few times.

I also use my exercise bike to try and get my legs in great shape. I’m diabetic, so I already have to watch what I eat.

I’m determined to use the Treadmill 3 times a week followed by the exercise bike. Also I’m signing up for water aerobics at the YMCA.

We already have a Y membership, so I will just have to use it! Eating better always seems to go along with that as you see how long it takes on the treadmill to burn off those calories!

    December 29, 2009 at 4:35 pm

I run more and cute back on the snacks. Also add in a little more toning for the arms, legs, and mid section. :) It is all in preparation for that dreaded swimsuit season! :)

We only have 1 car and my husband needs it for work, so I have to hit the gym at 5am everyday or I dont get to go till 6 at night and I dont feel like it by then!! But I feel accomplished even though i crawl back into bed after the gym sometimes!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
