Complementing the selection of quality pet food and supplies in Kroger stores, Kroger Personal Finance (KPF) brings together a wide array of quality financial products and services from preferred providers for Kroger customers and their furry family members, including a new “accident only” pet insurance policy for just $9.95/month per pet.
To most pet owners, pets are family too! When pets get sick or injured, most of us are willing to spend almost whatever it takes to get them back on all four feet, but the price of veterinary care does not come cheap. As a matter of fact, according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA) vet bills last year in the U.S. topped $11 billion. For this reason, pet insurance policies are on the rise.
Kroger Pet Insurance coverage starts at just $9.95 for an accident-only plan and includes plans with up to $12,000 worth of annual coverage per pet. Sign up in Kroger’s stores or online!

Savings on pet care are a challenge for me (allergies…the dogs, not me). I feed them quality food and use coupons when available.

I save by buying all of my pet supplies in bulk. I purchased air-tight containers once and they have lasted for months!

This is the first year ever that we have had a dog, and I was worried about the cost of food, but there are so many coupons out there that I usually get it for free! My sister-in-law is also an expert groomer, so we don’t spend any money on that either. :)

Sometimes when money is tight or I can’t get to Sam’s club I’ll actually make my dogs’ food. We buy huge sacks of rice(that we eat as well) and then I’ll cook up a huge batch & mix in chicken bones or porkchop bones from our meals. We have 3 pitbulls with large appetites, so its great that I can save money on them when needed. – amm2ep at virginia dot edu

It’s all about the sales and coupons. I feed them treats when I can get them really cheap or free, but otherwise I don’t.

I save money on my precious pooch by taking turns hitting the different Petsmarts/Petcos in my area on Saturdays when the pet food company reps are out with coupons. I go to a few different ones so that they don’t see me all the time, but I can stock up on coupons for the expensive food which is of course the only kind I can get my finicky (but wonderful) dog to eat. I also always check out the discounted bins for toys and chews.

Also- I’m a RSS subscriber via my google reader and have been for a while. Thanks for your blog! I’ve gotten so many great tips and coupons from your site.
