A holiday is not complete without my Mom’s Homemade Noodles and Homemade bread! The noodles are basically 6 eggs mixed with enough flour to make the dough not sticky and a dash of baking powder. Roll out the dough, use an old fashioned noodle cutter, boil them and then store them in chicken stock.
I made both for Thanksgiving and they FINALLY tasted like my mom’s!!!!!!! I was thrilled! The smells, sights and taste made me feel like I was back home, even though I now live more than 1000 miles away =*)

My favorite holiday dish is the sugar cookies with sprinkles and frosting that I make for Christmas using my mom’s recipe. I grew up on those and while I occasionally make them for other holidays Christmas is the one time I make sure to make a whole bunch for gifts for family.
