November 28, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

Come browse the 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Gift Guide for unique gifts from mompreneurs, inventors, artists and companies that give back. With more than 70 exclusive coupon codes, you’re sure to find something for everyone on your list!

Shabby Apple Black RosetteShabby Apple Midnight Garden
You’re sure to find a figure-flattering and occasion-appropriate dress on Shabby Apple.com. I don’t know about you, but I’m always wary of ordering clothing online. Not so with Shabby Apple’s Fit to Flatter. I love that they have a large variety of styles, and they will help you choose the perfect one just by answering three simple questions that will help identify the most appropriate style for your shape.

Shabby Apple also delivers Couture with a Conscience. They donate 5% of their net profits to providing micro-credit loans to women in developing countries. If you can swing it, please consider donating an additional $5 at checkout. They’ve almost reached their goal of helping 500 women this year!

More About Shabby Apple
After years of not being able to find stylish dresses that covered enough skin to make you really feel comfortable (without wearing a tank top, cardigan or long slip), owners Emily and CK decided to do something about it. Shabby Apple is proud to offer you fantastic dresses that allow you to look fabulous without having to compromise anything else.

I save money on clothing by swapping with my friends and finding clothes on ebay for cheap!

I buy gently used or new clothes on eBay. I tend to buy brands like Anne Taylor and Talbots where I know how the clothes fit and I know my size. You can get great deals that way.

I don’t really like shopping for myself but when I do I love to hit Target and Old Navy. The prices are pretty reasonable and the clothes are cute!!

I’m a big consignment store shopper for both me and my daughter. That way I can get high quality items for which I wouldn’t pay the retail price.

I love to shop thrift stores for clothes. You can find a lot of nice name brand clothes for a fraction of the cost.

I always browse the clearance and use my coupons at stores which have them. The best way to save on clothes is to buy good quality clothes on sale that will last you a while.

My only tip is to buy off season. Also, which isn’t much fun, stay out of the stores and you aren’t tempted to purchase. :J

    Thanks!

Two ladies in our area starting a consignment sale last year called Divine Consign. It is wonderful way to sell current fashions you are no longer wearing and to purchase fun clothes at awesome prices.

To find modest, and affordable clothes, I learned to sew. ;o) Now I can make a cute skirt in a few hours, and with whatever colors I want! I like Kohls for other pieces that are too hard for me still.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
