Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, and if you shop carefully, you can get great deals, but be sure to read these Black Friday tips before you go to be sure you don't end up spending more than you intend!

Have you wanted to give bulk shopping a try but weren't sure about investing in a warehouse club membership? If so, this weekend is your chance! Sam's Club is hosting an Open House starting today, Friday 8/6 through Sunday 8/8. You'll receive the full range of benefits that paying members enjoy with no upcharges.
My family shops at Sam's Club regularly. Some of the items that we find are a bargain there are frozen chicken breasts, milk, cheese, and baking products. You can often get some great deals on produce as well.
If you're afraid that you won't use up an item before it goes bad, consider shopping with a friend and splitting the bill! This was a tactic that Mandi and I used to stretch our vacation budget last week.

This might be a great opportunity to stock up on some bulk basics for your Thanksgiving meal. I love buying their big foil trays to cut down on cleanup after the big meal, as well as baking staples for holiday pies and cookies.
Note: This pass does have an applicable 10% service fee, so if you're going to make a large purchase you may be better off just purchasing a membership. This is a great way to get in the door to check out the merchandise though!

Sam's Club has a new membership deal running through June 18th. If you're a current member, you and a friend can both earn $10 Sam's Club gift cards when you refer them for a new membership.
This will effectively make your friend's new membership $30 instead of the usual $40!
