    I learned about the wide variety of health conditions (in other parts of the body) that can be assessed during an eye exam.

    I learned that your eye doctor can determine much more about your health than just your eyesight – signs of diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol

    I learned that babies should have their first eye exam at 6 months old. I wish I would have got my 3 yr. old son’s eyes checked sooner because it turns out he needed glasses.

    The doctor can see signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol by looking at the blood vessels in your eyes.
