Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

+++++++++++++++

I store my coupons in a file drawer at home and only pull the ones I need for that specific trip. I could really use this.

I use an old wallet to keep my coupons in. It is overflowing & not very organized!

I was using a 3 ring binder with baseball card inserts, which was super organized, but entirely too time consuming. Now I have a plastic container with my coupons in envelopes separated by departments and stores. This works better, but is still not very effective.

I use a binder to store my coupons, but I am looking for a better way to organize store coupons and for a better method for my quick shopping trips.

I use 2 accordian files. One for weekly inserts and 1 for store coupons.

    June 16, 2010 at 2:29 pm

I keep my inserts whole, filed in a crate with hanging folders by the week they came out. I clip a few of the ones that I really want to find the best deal for and put those in an organizer from Dollar Tree. I use another organizer for the deals of the week at Kroger, WAGs and CVS. I keep a section in this for good P & G coupons that I want to seek out the best deal for, another for coupons I’ve ordered from eBay, and one for Wal-Mart too.

I have a coupon binder that I snagged from target for a $1 that clearly isn’t very efficient or organized if i don’t use a coupon within a couple of days it ends up expiring.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
