Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

I store my coupons in an organizer wallet but I think I may have to graduate to a big girl binder as I now have my target coupons in a letter envelope and my expiring ones in an old pencil case. Needless to say my purse it pretty full when I go shopping.

I use a binder to carry coupons with me. I sort inserts in a folder and clip coupons as needed.

I use the “stuff ’em in my purse & forget about half of them” method or, if I’m really organized, I’ll stuff ’em in a ziplock bag. I could seriously use a system!

I use binders to store my coupons and envelope style pouches to transport my coupons. I have two huge binders which are too much to take with me.

I currently keep all my coupons in my purse. I have three different catagories: Grocery/Baby/Drugstore. All the them are organized by grouping like coupons together and the grocery ones are organized also by the common aisles. Each is held together with binding clips.

I try to be organized, but I am always hunting for a coupon that “I just saw a minute ago”.

I used to use a small accordian, then I switched over to a folder with plastic covers where I would tape each coupon in its category but I found it to be very time consuming. Especially, when I have fallen behind on my coupon-clipping. I also use a small photo book to carry around the coupons I use on a day-to-day basis such a fast food joints coupons, CVS deals, etc. I found that to be effective except when I need a certain coupon that would be sitting at home.

I store my coupons in an envelope in my purse. You never know when you’ll need a coupon. :)

I use an accordion folder and have found that it’s bulging at the seams! I’m looking for a new method, done my research, but just can’t seem to settle on a method that might work. So I’m excited to see if the Couponizer might be just the thing for me!

    I have a small organizer.

I have two accordion binders — one for grocery and one for non-grocery items. Each section is broken down by the type of coupon from produce all the way to frozen foods and baby all the way to household goods. It’s cumbersome, but it’s working. I carry them in a reusable grocery bag.

I store my coupons in a binder. I just started doing that about a month ago, and it certainly makes a world of difference!

I use a binder. Thanks for doing this.

I use a small accordion folder that is being outgrown quickly- especially by baby coupons.

I use a 3 ring binder, but am always looking for a better method.

I just started this coupon extravaganza!
I bought a trapper keeper that zips (so nothing falls out if I drop it)
Baseball card holders and there yah go,,, its pretty slick but don’t always like carrying around a large binder :)

  28. Judith

    June 16, 2010 at 11:26 am

I use a big binder…I would love to try the couponizer!!!

  29. Suzanne

    June 16, 2010 at 11:26 am

I use a zip up binder with baseball card inserts. I previously used Ms. M’s coupon binder, but didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t close it up (zip). So when I went to a standard zip binder I kept the dividers from Ms. M’s and used the same tabs for my current book. Although, I too am always looking for a better way to organizer my coupons.

Right now I’m trying a binder system as well as a little accordian wallet that I keep individual store deals in.
