Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

Every year BILLIONS of drink pouches, yogurt containers, candy wrappers and more end up in dumpsters and landfills across America. TerraCycle’s mission is to recycle these items into affordable, eco-friendly products. They’re making “upcycling” trendy with their adorable backpacks, binders, and lunch boxes!
Want to get paid for your trash? Join one of their FREE Brigades and TerraCycle will pay you per piece for sending them your non-recyclable waste materials.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a TerraCycle Prize Pack that includes the following:
- Capri Sun lunch box
- Billboard laptop case
- Honest Kids 3 ring binder
- Paper pens
- (2) Capri Sun pencil cases
- Capri Sun small tote
- Doritos backpack
- Circuit board coasters
- Circuit board picture frame

My family recycles when we can but my latest project is to remember to bring my own bags for groceries and if i use plastic to return them on my next trip. I put them inside what my children call “save the world bags” so that I don’t forget them
Laura
We recycle everything we possibly can and reuse before recycling.

My family always recycles. We have a paper recycling bin in our kitchen, with little stickers to tell paper from trash. We also recycle our cans and bottles. Usually we end up going to parties and taking home the bottles to recycle that other people were going to throw away! Also, we try to recycle our old phones and electronics. A few times I have done the Sight Night charity where you collect old eye-glasses to give to people in need. My family is trying to learn to turn off the lights more often and cut shower times as well.

I use a ceiling fan rather than the air conditioner, always recycle, buy as many eco-friendly products as I can, and in cool weather I wear sweaters or sweatshirts indoors instead of turning on the heater.
Jennifer
Recycle, use re-usable containers, etc.

Take whatever possible to recycling bins, save large items for recycling days at local grocer, have a small vege garden, donate old clothes and toys to local charity foundations, and do whatever else we can to keep our trash out of the landfills.
Amy Stanford
We reuse! And we get other items that neighbors don’t want and reuse those! LOVE freecycle :D

We recycle as much as possible, washing out even our soup cans that can be recycled. I also try to reuse paper towels that I’ve only gotten wet and we regularly give stuff to good will and buy stuff from there so that things that we think are trash can be someone else’s treasure and their’s can be our treasure.
Dan S.
I recycle by giving away all of my freebies that I pick up at the store and telling my family members to recycle them.

We started recycling our plastic bags and trying to remember our reusable bags when we shop, and we recycle paper. We don’t buy bottled water very often, but use reusable containers for our drinking water.
