Win-It Wednesday: Sony Vaio Netbook + F-Secure Internet Security!

September 29, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,278 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

With school back in session, more kids will be online than ever before doing homework, looking up information and playing educational games in addition to the hours spent on Facebook and emailing and instant messaging friends they would normally do. Keeping them safe as they browse is important, so you don’t have to worry about what websites they’re clicking through to and you can protect your computer as well from viruses and other internet threats.

F-Secure’s Internet Security 2011 features Browsing Protection to keep viruses, worms and spyware at bay, not allowing your children to click through to those sites. There are also advanced Parental Controls so that you can block sites with inappropriate content and keep your kids safe.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Sony Vaio 10″ Netbook and 1-year of F-Secure’s Internet Security 2011!

To enter, visit the F-Secure website and then come back and tell me one thing you learned about staying safe online while you were there.

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

    At the F-Secure site I learned that when online shopping (which I do a lot) I need to be cautious… “if you have never heard of the shop, it doesn’t have a postal address, and nobody answers when you call the customer service contact number. A quick web search should reveal if the company really exists and whether anyone else has experienced problems dealing with it. ”

    The parental control feature on software like F-Secure Internet Security 2009 is an easy way to enforce your Internet policies and enables you to set specific time limits.

    “Employers do a web search on everyone they are thinking of hiring. ” Our company began this recently and it was shocking to see some of the people bragging about theft, illegal drugs, etc.

    F-secure site was very cool…I actually, hadn’t heard of them and spent over an hour looking around there!!!! LOL Anyway, I like many features but especially, the span control…and, the point they made that you could set controls to dump all spam so you don’t have too and you can come back from a trip or a couple days off from using the computer AND NOT FIND 100’s of spam’s in your mail…THAT was is fantastic!

    I also like the free download tools and used two of them all ready…like the Blacklight feature to dig out those really deep bugs.
    Thanks so much for the opportunity and letting me know about f-secure too.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
