My four-year-old daughter took one look at the sparkly and colorful cover of Shoe-La-La! and proclaimed that we must sit down and read it immediately — we’ve now read it 462 times in the past two days…

Well, maybe that’s exaggerating a little, but she adored it from the start, and she’s probably asked me to read it at least that many times! That said, it really is a great children’s book, and I love that it inspires kids to get creative and think outside of the box.

Meet four girls who love shoes: SHOE-LA-LA!

“Shoes with zippers, Shoes with straps, Shoes with buckles, Shoes with taps”.

Prance from page to page in search of the perfect pair of party shoes. Girls of all ages will love to go on a shoe shopping expedition with these four friends, from “fuzzy boots for when it snows” to “ballerinas on our toes.” The girls try on every shoe in the store, but “eeny, meeny, my, oh, my [they] just don’t know which shoes to buy.” With some feathers and glitter, a little bit of glue, and a LOT of imagination, the girls come up with the best shoes of all!

    my favorite shoes are a pair of elegant Black leather sandals. Living in the south sandals are year round(except this past month!).. But to be honest, living here, you really need a minimum of 6 pairs of shoes! Casuals, sandals, wedges, heels, closed toe – no back shoe boots, flipflops in every style, color, height you can muster!..And dour forget your footzyrolls!

    My favorite pair of shoes are strappy black heels that have a small satin red rose near the strap by the pinky toe…I wear them on special occasions. They look great while wearing my husbands white dress shirt…… nuf-said. :o)

    Right now my favorite shoes are brown boots, fuzzy at the top. Perfect for winter. I wear them everyday. And am so upset to see a tear in the top of them. :( Hopefully they make it through the rest of this winter.
