    Favorite wooden toys in our house:
    Are the Doug and Mellisa play food and a cookie set that my 2 year old loves. She like to take the Velcro icing off and make me pretend to eat just the icing. That would go great with a play kitchen, my two girls would have so much fun. We have a lot of Doug and Mellisa items, including stackable blocks, and puzzles as well.

    I picked up a hand carved wooden duck from a church garage sale that I just adore! It “waddles” when you pull the string since the wheels are turning the duck at an angle. It’s so cute but hard to describe. My favorite part is that you can tell it was made with love as the edges were sanded and it was varnished to a pretty shine. It’s not decorated except for the eyes that are burned in and the signature burned into the bottom of the duck. Just precious! :D

    We have a Melissa and Doug wooden farm puzzle that is adorable and has nice chunky handles that makes it easy for little hands to grasp the pieces.

    We actually don’t have a lot of wooden toys. We do have a set of wooden play food, and a few wooden puzzles. I love how durable they are, and my kids love using their imagination with them.
