Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I always get my coffee ready the night before, there’s nothing better than waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee.

I make my lunch and snacks for work the night before. Gourmet coffee would get me going early and so I wouldn’t have to rush to work!

I’ve started preparing for the next school day the night before. I make her snack early, get her backpack in gear and choose an outfit for the next day. This trick helps make the mornings go a little smoother. I love enjoying my morning cup of joe first thing each day before my daughter wakes up. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

My best tips and tricks for the morning?

    1. Prep everything you can the night before. School bags get packed so they’re ready to grab and go. Outfits get picked out. Shoes get put out by the door.

    2. We have stuck a Wall Pop on the wall next to the fridge and titled it “What I want in my lunch bag”. Every night we use it to write down what gets packed for lunch the next day. It’s so much quicker than trying to find out that morning while the kids are trying to get ready.

    3. We set an egg timer at two different times. Once for breakfast time and once for when it’s time to leave the house. It helps the kids “see” how much time they have left to eat or get ready. And we don’t hear “but I didn’t have time to eat breakfast”.

Having a fresh cup of gourmet coffee in the morning would be awesome! I’m not a huge morning person so it takes me a while to get going. Coffee helps to speed up that process.

I do as much as I can the night before. Also – i have multiple sets of keys. One house key on the dog’s leash, one with a car key on a key clip, and one with a car key and all my shoppers cards/keychains. when I take my dog out in the morning, I have a key on his leash and I take the key clip with me too. Before we head back in, I turn the car on and relock it. The key on the leash is how I get back inside, and then I use the keychain keys to get back into my car once i’ve finished getting ready. Saves me sooooo much time since before I’d sit out in my car and wait for it to warm up. :)

I like to wake up about 30 min before my kids wake up to take in my coffee and prepare for the day.
It seems to make the morning much less hectic

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
