Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

My tip for managing a hectic morning is to lay out all of our clothes the night before. Then there is no running around looking for something to wear! :-)

I get up a little early to ensure that I have a few minutes of leeway to relax if I need too. And to give me time to enjoy my latte!

To be honest, until about 3 months ago I hateddd coffee! Ok, calm down – I am now the worlds greatest coffee lover – no, coffee addict! In short, I hated coffee – thought it was too bitter, got a job asking me to review 200 k-cups, accepted without telling my boss I hate coffee. Had to have about 3 coffees a day to get all the reviews done in 60 days – now, I’m HOOKED!
In any case, my k-cups and coffee have been my ultimate ‘trick’ to making those hectic mornings go smoothly. No joke. Ever since the 200 k-cup trial, and having a coffee every morning I have been a calmer person – something about it, just holding the hot cup of freshly brewed coffee in my hand gives me this sense that everything is going to be just fine. With my coffee – the kids will get to school, I will get to work, and I know the house will hopefully be in tact when I get back. In addition, it also helps to outline either written or mentally what needs to be done in the morning the night before – planning before usually helps because the noise and rush in the morning isn’t all that conducive to remembering everything that needs to be done… But again the cup of coffee is key.
However, last week my world came crashing down – my keurig died. :(
My 2 year old had a little fun and completely flooded it somehow. Thank God he’s fine.. but sadly my keurig isn’t – so pleaaaseee help this working mom get her life back in order, I can’t do the hectic mornings without my keurig!!!!

My mornings are always hectic as I’m getting out of work and trying to get my oldest ready for school! A KEURIG would sure help keep me awake!
