Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I’m like the guy from McDonald commercial, where he tells people not to talk to him because he hasn’t had his coffee yet. Except in my case I have to get things done first before getting a cup of coffee. Warming up a bottle before the baby sees me so, she doesn’t cry, waking up and changing the baby and then hoping my mom will get here on time to feed her, so I’m not late for work. Then finally a cup of coffee in the car on the way to work.

My tip is to get everything ready the night before. I get the coffee pot ready to go as well as breakfasts. This way I don’t need to think about what to have for breakfast when trying to get mouths fed and everyone out the door.

My best advice… do as much stuff in advance the night before – make lunch and breakfast, put out clothes, etc.

My tip is to get as much ready to go the night before as possible. My kids get their backpacks and sports bags ready and put them on the washer near the door so they can just grab them on their way out the door the next morning. I have my keys there, too, so no searching through all of my coat pockets looking for them. I get up and eat and have a relaxing cup of coffee before I wake the kids up.

The night before I prepare my kid’s outfits for school instead of stressing about it in the morning I also pack their lunch. In the morning, instead of waking up and checking email I take care of one of my “to do” items” first thing. From there the day just goes up and up and up – of course a cup of coffee is ALWAYS good for the soul! :)

Make bottles the night before, have your meals planned out for the next day and above all else – have the coffee pot set to brew automatically when you wake up!

I manage hectic mornings by having everything laid out the night before. I don’t get my first cup of coffee until I arrive at work.

I try to do what I can the night before and have some extra time to myself before I get everyone up in the morning. Next to my time to myself, a large cup of coffee is my next “must” for starting my day!

My fiance always has the coffee ready when I get out of the shower, so my mornings are pretty calm. He’s the best :)

If I know I am going to have a hectic morning, I try to prepare for it the night before. I will lay out everyone’s clothes, get the coffe pot ready to go, ect. That helps a lot!

I set my coffeemaker the night before so it’s ready for me when I wake up.There’s nothing like waking up to the smell of coffee. Then, I just take it slow until my coffee cup is empty…it makes for an easier start to the day.
