Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I enjoy waking up about 2 hours before my kids and working out, then I usually head downstairs to make myself some strong coffee with hazelnut creamer. Sadly, my husband won’t drink coffee, but I have a “good mood mug”, so although I’m enjoying my morning coffee alone my red mug helps me get focused on the day ahead!

To manage hectic mornings, I try to do as much as I can the night before. Pick up and clean, make lunches, pack backpacks, lay out the next days clothes and have pre-made waffles, pancakes, ect in the freezer for quick breakfasts. And of course, lots and lots of coffee for those crazy mornings!

Preparing everything the night before helps keep things easier. I also got my son an alarm clock to wake him. He is a terrible grouch and both of our mornings started on a bad note if I woke him (no matter how nice, gentle, or loving). It works great.

To help manage our hectic mornings I make a bunch of breakfast burritos and freeze them for easy reheating in the mornings. Also, we set the coffee maker up the night before so the auto brew makes the coffee for us.

I think picking out clothes and other preparations the night before makes for a less hectic morning. The Keurig could only help the coffee process go faster! Hope I win!!!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
