Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I try to do as much as I can the night before. Also, if I find myself getting too stressed and fussing, I stop and get myself a cup to help destress.

I’m not a coffee drinker, but a fresh cup of morning coffee helps me help my husband get his morning started. If I didn’t make him coffee, he’d never be able to get up :)

I try to start making the kids lunches the night before and lay out their clothes. I get up early and have nice cup of coffee before they get up to help me get started on the right track.

I lay out the my clothes and the kids clothes the night before including shoes because those always use to get lost. Coffee helps brighten the day and helps keep things going.

Hi! Love your site! Honestly I don’t drink much coffee but my hubby does and he has been wanting one of these since we only need to make a cup of coffee for him before work so we dot use our actual coffee maker. Lol we have a two year old and both of us work but usually we work separate times so we haven’t hit the whole school, both of us needing to be at work at 8 craziness yet but it’ll happen quicker than we think! Wow I wrote a novel lol

It sounds soooo simple. But the best way for me personally to have a good (hectic-free) morning is to wake up a good hour or so before my daughter. It gives me time to wake up and have my massive amount of caffeine to start the day. Then make my to do list for the day, get ready and have the diaper bag packed and ready to go. Like I said it is a really simple thing but it makes a HUGE difference in the morning!!

    I love all your tips!
For getting things done in the morning rush the best thing to do is plan ahead and leave as little as posible to do during the morning rush. This one cup coffee brewer is a great device to having your cup of coffee in the morning with out all the mess of making a pot and possible spilling the grounds all over or if you have a crazy pot like mine it will not spill allover the counter because it is not draining properly into the pot. I also love the variety for brewing.

Every morning is a hectic one in my house! I get everything packed the night before for my 2 year old and 1 year old, and put it by the front door. I then preset my coffee maker so that it begins to brew as I am in the shower in the AM. Just the smell alone of fresh brewed coffee gets my morning started off well! I drink a few sips of my coffee, wake the kids up, change diapers, grab the stuff already at the door, and off we go quickly and ready for a new day!
