Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I have the coffee programmed to turn on when I wake up, I let the dogs out and then take my coffee and finish getting dressed before i wake the kids, my only few minutes of peace

My trick sounds counter-productive, but I actually get up 30 minutes earlier than I need to. This way, I can lay in bed and watch TV for a bit, or hit the snooze (sometimes BOTH!) before getting up and I’m not so rushed. I also make sure that when I get home, my purse, keys, etc. are all on the table by the front door (along with anything else I need to take to work) so I’m not hunting for them in the morning.

Also, having my coffeemaker programmed to have my coffee ready is definite incentive to get out of bed Nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee! :)

I have to have my cup of coffee in the morning before anything starts rolling! After that, I’m good to go! A daily morning schedule keeps me and the kids on track.

I subscribe to your email and LOVE getting it every day. To help my mornings so more smoothly, I do as much prep work as I can the night before. I even get the coffee pot ready and filled so all I have to do is touch one button and it starts brewing. Having a Keurig would make mornings even faster and would be much loved:)

I admit… I’m not a coffee drinker. But my husband is and I love hot chocolate. My mom has a Keurig and I love that my husband can brew himself a cup of coffee and I can have a cup of hot chocolate and we don’t have to waste half a pot of coffee! And the things that make our morning routine most efficient are the things that save time… like being able to push a button and brew just one cup of coffee (or hot chocolate, or tea…).

I always sort out what I am going to wear the night before to make my mornings a bit less hectic. A nice, warm, caffeinated cup of coffee really jump starts my brain for the day ahead! lol
