Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

On hectic mornings I get uo a little earlier to get everything done. It also helps that I have my Keurig ready to brew when I get uo so I can enjoy my first cup of coffe before the craziness starts.

My best tip is to do as much as you can the night before to ensure a smooth morning AND a fresh cup of coffee gives me the caffeine boost I need to start my day

I hit the gym early in the morning and get home before anyone wakes up. Coffee is ready when hubby comes downstairs. It helps us both get our day off to a good start.

I always try to get a cup of coffee down before my toddler wakes up, definitely need the caffeine, and now that it’s cooler it is wonderful to wake up to hot coffee! :-)

I get up 30 minutes before waking everyone else up so that I can enjoy a cup of coffee in peace. I try to have breakfast made, lunches packed and clothes ironed also before waking the kids. It makes the morning go smoothly when everything is ready and all they have to do it crawl out of bed. Less screming from me and less whining from them.

I have my morning coffee to come down OFF the hectic morning after my family gets out the door and all is quiet again. Interested in trying one of these someday.

My tip would be to TRY to wake before the rest of the family to get time to yourself and beat the hectic schedule that soon begins! ALOT easier said than done! Programmable coffee makers are always a safe bet to have your coffee ready without worry. I have coveted the Krueg for over a year now – but haven’t fit it in my budget! Everyone who has one LOVES it – would absolutely LOVE to try it for myself. They have SO many different flavors or coffees and teas – just looks dreamy! :)

I always get up 2 hours before I need to leave the house (no matter what time that is!). That way I am never rushed. I always have to have a cup of coffee (even if it’s decaf).

PBS Sprout helps my mornings go by easier by entertaining my toddler long enough to get breakfast ready and read my emails. Then a promise to the library helps get him dressed.

Get my clothes and accessories ready the night before a hectic day. Set multiple alarms and the aroma of coffee in the morning WILL motivate me to get up and get going!

I try to keep my mornings from being too hectic by planning ahead. I try and get as much done the night before, so the morning runs more smoothly. Have a nice cup of coffee makes it even better though, so I can at least have a “sip” of me time!

I think one of the best ways to manage a hectic morning is to prepare everything you’ll need the night before. Set out what clothes you’ll wear, pack your lunch, and put everything you need together by the door, so you’re not rushing around trying to find everything. And caffeine definitely helps me in the morning to get up and go; a cup of gourmet coffee would be really nice!
