Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

One of the things that helps me the most is for everyone to shower before bed so the morning doesn’t have to start extra early for showers. Yuck! the smell of a good cup of coffee in the morning is an instant pick me up.

I try to avoid hectic mornings by having the kitchen clean the night before, have a plan what’s for breakfast, have me ready before i get the kiddos up. I don’t drink coffee, but I do like to brew loose tea in a coffee maker. YUM!

Getting 3 elementary age children ready for school in the morning can be hectic. On Sunday nights, we set out each of the children’s clothes for the week using a closet organizer. That way the kids have the right shoes for PE, the spirit day shirt, field day shirt, picture day outfit, or whatever it is they need for the week clean & ready to wear. No more hunting for shoes, matching socks, etc!

Backpacks are always packed and ready before bed the night before. We mark the lunch menu for the month with who needs a lunchbox ahead of time, and leave the lunch box on the counter so we remember to pack the lunch.

The kids always get a good night sleep, having an early bedtime. We the parents, however, tend to stay up too late and are often tired and slow moving in the mornings. Even just the smell of hot coffee can wake us up! A hot cup of coffee is wonderful, especially on cold mornings. We like to give our bus driver a cup of coffee in the morning. If we are tired, chances are she is too, and she’s carrying our precious cargo.

We try to get things all set up the night before so we just grab and go and it isn’t such a hassell….my husband would drink coffee in the morning to help keep him awake during the day if we didn’t have to make a whole pot!! He stays busy working full time and being a full time college student and full time daddy!

No hectic mornings here! I enjoy waking every morning to begin a new day to see what it will bring. I always get all the stuff I will need for the next day ready the night before to make for a smooth morning. So clothes are picked out and ironed, lunch made if I have to work, coffee pot ready for brewing with coffee cup next to it….etc. That way I’m prepared and can enjoy my coffee while getting ready for the day.
