Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

No more hectic mornings. I wake up and set my coffee. We work “in 15’s”. The kids get 15 min for breakfast, 15 to get dressed, teeth, face and hair. 15 to get lunches and snacks together. 15 to grab school stuff and wait for bus. I take 15 for shower, 15 for face and hair, 15 for lunches and 15 for breakfast and my coffee. 1 hour and we are all out the door (without morning fights).

My best tip is to make sure I set the delay function on my coffee maker. That way when I roll downstairs to prepare coffee for the whole family I have my own cup of joe ready to wake me up! I also love to come downstairs to the smell of coffee! Yum.

I usually allocate 5 minutes to think before I walk out the door in the morning. It allows me to think about what I have going on and what I need to do.

My tip for contributing to world peace or at least family harmony in the morning? Mama drinks a lot of coffee. It’s the only way everything works. Sure we organize the night before and have our morning routine synchronized to the second but without coffee, it’s all a loss. Can you imagine how much more efficiently my mornings would flow if I have the luxury of a Keurig to brew my coffee at lightning speed? Oh the joy it would bring! And love would abound. All from one simple coffee maker.

I always prep the night before so the morning isn’s so hetic. The kids lay out their clothes, lunches are made, papers and homework are signed. coffee in the morning just kind of wakes my body up and scares away the sleepies. I love the smell.

To manage my mornings better, I gave in and joined the 5am club. I get my quiet time with my coffee, and my devotion. Then I get my computer work done before the kids wake up, so that I’m more patient and focused on them during their morning hours.
